Our hearts are broken. I will never understand why this happened. It’s unfair. We lost the most amazing man I have ever known. Chris came into our lives, and he completed our family. He coached our teams; he sat in the yard & let me pitch to him for hours; he took us to Disney World; he gave me my first phone; he sat at the kitchen table for hours and tutored me in math (even though I cried); he studied with me whenever I needed help; he sold his truck so that I could have a car to take to Tennessee; he put down everything to help me when I called.

I could go on for hours about all the good he has done, but he was also supposed to join my dad in walking me down the aisle at my wedding. He was supposed to grow old with my mom. He was supposed to be a grandpa, the kind that would give his grandkids whatever they wanted. He was supposed to watch my baby brothers graduate. He was supposed to watch them create their new families, and give them advice on how to be a good father, just like him.

I’m so angry and upset that this was taken away from my family, but I also know that we have gained the strongest gaurdian angel that anyone can have. Thank you to those who have reached out to my family and I. The love we have felt from the community proves how many of the lives Chris has touched, and I am beyond proud to have him as a dad. Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to figure out our new lives without him.

Two years without one of the most amazing souls I’ve ever known. Someone who is missed so much by so many people❤️ Clay had the biggest heart and kindest soul, which is why we all have so many amazing memories with him.

This is a reminder that you are loved and there are people who care about you. Suicide is not the answer. If you or anyone you know is struggling, reach out. People want to help you.

Clay was one of those people who would help anyone and everyone. I will never be able to thank him enough for all the times he supported me, even today🫶🏼 miss you always by @lexiwarnerr
