These are the moments I prayed for. A man who surprises you with a last-minute trip just to be together. Who meets you during your layover just to make sure you make it safely to the next flight.I was busy chasing Waylon around the airport when I saw someone walking toward us. My first thought was, “Who’s this guy?” 😂 Then I looked up… and it was Sean. It caught me completely off guard.In a world that can feel so rushed, I’ll never take these little moments for granted. Well… this one is a little emotional for me. 🤍I’ve been praying about this, thinking it through, and honestly going back and forth for quite a while. As much as I absolutely love what I do, becoming a mama has shifted my perspective on what balance looks like.Starting August 1, I’ll be making a few changes around here.✨ New salon hours:Monday–Wednesday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PMI’ll also be introducing an updated service menu and pricing.This wasn’t a decision I made overnight. It came from wanting to build a business that allows me to continue giving every guest my very best while also protecting time for my family, my health, and the things that keep me showing up as the best version of myself.To every single one of you who has trusted me with your curls, sat in my chair, laughed with me, cried with me, and supported this little dream of mine… thank you. Seriously. You’ve helped build a career that I genuinely love, and I don’t take that for granted for one second.I’m so excited for this next season. It feels a little scary, but mostly it feels right.If you’ve been thinking about booking your next appointment, I’d recommend grabbing your spot before August as my schedule will be a little more limited.Thank you for continuing to grow with me. Happy Father’s Day to three incredible men who have played such important roles in my life. ❤️Sean—The father you are to our boys never goes unnoticed. Every day, I see how hard you work to be the best dad you can be and how deeply you love our family. As my partner, you never hesitate when I need something, and you work tirelessly to make sure we’re cared for and provided for. We are so lucky to have you.Dad—I know you’d be so proud of the man who walked into my life. He reminds me so much of you: big-hearted, hardworking, and loving us with his whole heart. I miss you every day, and I hope you know your love and lessons still guide me.To my uncle—Since my dad’s passing, you’ve stepped up in ways I’ll never be able to fully thank you for. I’ve been cold plunging on and off for the last 4 years, and it’s never really been about the ice.It’s about choosing discomfort on purpose.It’s about slowing my mind down, finding mental clarity, and proving to myself that I can do hard things.As a mom, self-care doesn’t always look like spa days and quiet moments. Sometimes it looks like stepping into freezing water, regulating my nervous system, and showing up calmer, stronger, and more present for my family.And now I get to share little pieces of that with Waylon. 🤍I don’t expect him to love cold plunging or follow in my footsteps exactly, but I do hope he learns:✨ To take care of his mind and body.✨ To not be afraid of discomfort.✨ To build resilience.✨ To see self-care as a priority, not a luxury.At the end, I gave him a tiny taste of the cold plunge… because maybe it’s never too early to learn that growth often lives just outside our comfort zone. 🩵❄️#ColdPlunge #MentalClarity #NervousSystemRegulation #MotherhoodUnfiltered #RaisingResilientKids by @lexmarin_

One of my favorite parts of being a curly hair specialist is watching someone see their curls differently for the first time. 🥹✨When she sat in my chair, I didn’t just see curls—I saw hair that spends hours in the pool each week, hair that was craving hydration, repair, and a little extra love.So we slowed down.We trimmed away what was no longer serving her, detoxed buildup, infused moisture with steam hydration, treated her hair with repair masks, and created a customized routine using Innersense products.But the most important part?The education.Because my goal isn’t to send you home with beautiful curls for one day. It’s to help you understand your hair so you can recreate the magic at home.Healthy curls aren’t about perfection.
