Growing up, my sense of femininity was shaped by being fat, bipoc, and queer. It’s been a journey questioning what it means to be feminine, and if I’m allowed to embrace softness and affection. For years, I avoided physical touch, afraid I’d be too much or not enough. At Honcho Campout this year, I felt a deep sense of freedom and confidence, and I cherished the new experiences and connections. Last year was magical in ways I can’t fully express, and this year added even more joy and meaning to my journey. My queerness and femininity isn’t defined by how I act or dress—it’s simply me being myself. One year ago, I made the decision to message @pilottroybevans and ask him more about his rescue, Cleared Fur Takeoff. He responded with two dogs that I could foster (to adopt) and one those dogs was Cornbread!The @cleared_fur_takeoff team made it possible for Ceebs to be flown to me with the help of @jessielynn685 and Pilot Shad last year on this day 2/2. CB came to me right before the pandemic and she definitely became my yellow. It doesn’t really feel like it’s only been a year, it feels like a lifetime 💛 Happy Gotcha Day Cornbread!!! ✨ by @lexoak_
