What a whirlwind! That’s a wrap on an incredible post-season run for the Toronto Blue Jays 💙⚾️

It’s still so surreal, and I’m so honoured and grateful to have had the chance to witness history, report it, and do it alongside so many talented colleagues. The best part was speaking with fans who poured energy into every moment. Thrilling, exciting.. and also, a little sleep depriving.

It may not have ended how we hoped, but the love this city, and the way the team captured fans’ hearts across the country, is what this story is really about.

✨Personal News✨🎤 I’m so excited to announce that I will be joining the Global News Toronto team as a reporter/ videographer — a dream come true 🥹

It feels like just yesterday when I walked into my first newsroom at CTV Toronto as an intern. I’ve had so many opportunities to grow, from CTV Barrie to The Weather Network — meeting people and experiences I wouldn’t trade for the world. But, my last two years at Global News Durham have a special place in my heart.

I’m so thankful for my amazing support system of loved ones, who have always cheered me on along the way. I’m also so lucky to be guided by mentors in the industry, who continue to show me the ropes in every way possible.

I’m looking forward to telling more stories in this big beautiful city, and for the growth, and opportunities ahead.

Next stop: World Series! ⚾️💙✨ Here’s some of my favourite moments from Game 7 of the ALCS — an absolutely wild game and an unforgettable night out in the field. I couldn’t hear Tracy at all 😂 but our hardworking control room and field crew made it all happen. A night I’ll never forget. 🥹

Happy 65th birthday to the person I owe it all to: my dad. You make our world go round, and I’m grateful every day for the sacrifices you made to give us everything we have. Lucky to always have you in my corner, my number one supporter, and my best friend.

This weekend we celebrated my dad by surprising him with some of the old family tapes. Growing up, he filmed just about everything… so here are a few of my favorite moments. 💙 by @lexybenedict
