Blue Lagoon Hot Spring, this one is man made. Water is beautiful blue because of high silica content. The day I was there, weather was weird (surprise surprise :) ) , we got beaten by small snowballs(maybe you can see in the video), then sun was upon us, again rain... water is hot but outside was cold, my face was frozen while my body was warm :) It is recommended to go before your flight or right after your arrival🤙🏻

If you don’t like the weather in Iceland, wait 5 minutes 🤪😜 Duygu is chasing waterfalls around the world :p and if they have the rainbow effect, it is much more preferred 🤩🌈

This one is called Skógafoss waterfall. There are if I am not mistaken 400 stairs hike up to the top, the hike is breathtaking after all the stairs :) and I am not sure if it is worth or not, but come on, how many times, you will be visiting, hike hike hike 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

#wheniniceland, I heard couple of speculation about this flight:
1973 a United States Navy DC plane ran out of fuel OR had a mechanical problem and crashed on the black sand beach in the South Coast of Iceland.
When I was visiting the area, one of the ladies was like “there are people died and we are taking Instagram photos”. Why we don’t read at least the signs when we are visiting a place!
As I told the lady, don’t worry, fortunately, everyone was survived. The remains are still on the sand very close to the sea. .

Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull on the South Coast of Iceland. ⠀⠀
A glacier lagoon at its base reveals how quickly it is receding: the length of an Olympic swimming pool every year. It seems like this change is already an irreversible consequence of climate change, and it may be gone within decades. (Quoted from @guidetoiceland) ⠀⠀

Big thanks to @Icelandicmountainguides And @haraldurketill for the walk and saving the day (On the day, we hit the road, cuz of the accident road to Glacier were closed so we didn’t know if we could walk or have to cancel the tour, but Thanks God, everything turned out to be fine and now I have great memories!
And lesson learned about being more careful for my actions and choices and not stepping on a fresh snow if I don’t know the area 🤙🏻) .

South Coast tour last stop: Black Sand Beach. At the entrance, there are warnings:
“People died, do not go too close to the water”.
Here, you learn the meaning of “wind”, I was about to fly, and took only couple of photos and went back to car :) I saw couple of people in the water, though! On the other photo, you can see the scenery from one of the episodes of “Game of Thrones”

Imagine ice mountains topped with fresh snow: you’re dreaming “Greenland”
I know, I know it is not green but look at this beauty. I was amazed and to be honest, I started looking for penguins or bears 🐧🐾 :))) It is so sad to think that this beauty could be gone :( I know we all complain about weather everyday, believe me “Climate Change” is real. Even though big brain says “why it is cold if there is global warming” 🐵🙈🙉🙊, when you go out there and see for yourself, you will want to stop and try to change it!
And, come on stop already using plastic straws! ⠀⠀ ❄️

Reykjavik, what a hard name to say!
Good and sad things happened in my Iceland journey, but overall I was lucky to see Norhern Lights and that was my aim.
One of the best part of Iceland is @loftreykjavik If you want to be close to everything within city, look no further. I have never seen such a helpful team. I miss you, already @leroysdf ⠀⠀ What you see in the first photo: “Sun Voyager” and “Hillgrimskirkja”. Church was designed in 1937, construction began in 1945 and completed in 1986. It is the landmark of the city and can be seen almost from anywhere. You can go up to top and freeze :) It is windy, so be careful up there🥶
Sun Voyager symbolizes a dreamboat. Dream of hope, freedom and progress. When you see it, you want to explore more and more. ⠀⠀ İlk fotoğrafta görünen, Reykjavik şehrinin iki önemli sembolü. Kilisi, 30lu yıllarda tasarlanarak 80lerde tamamlanıyor ve şehrin her yerinden görünebiliyor, neredeyse. Yüksek yüksek binalar çok yok, şehirde. Evler renkli renkli boyanmış, evleri de dantel işleri, çiçekler, değişik kapı tokmakları... Şehirde suç oranı çok düşük, hatta polis silah taşımıyor, kişilerin de silah alması sadece avlanma için mümkün, o da bir hayli zor. Because of me, my hubby saves every single waterfalls, I really love seeing them.
This is Gulfoss Falls (Means Golden Falls) in Iceland, when you do the Golden Circle Tour, this is one of the stops.
This will blow your mind, the sound, the view, the color and also the wind :) I was so happy to see this one, even I asked someone to take my photo (normally I don’t). And, do you know that this one was owned by private person before? They decided to sell the waterfall to investors for generating electricty, but then state of Iceland bought it. ⠀⠀ İzlanda’daki en büyük şelalelerden biri, hatta bence en büyüğü :) Çok güzel, bütün rüzgara rağmen. Hatta tur rehberimiz, “genelde bu durak noktasında çok fazla geç kalınma olmuyor” diyerek durumun her mevsimde aynı olduğunu açıkladı, hiç şaşırmadım :) Şelalenin adı Gulfoss, Altın Şelale anlamına geliyor. Sanırım bu şelaleden sonra artık görmek istediğim Iguazu Şelalesi (dünyanın en büyük şelalesi) ⠀⠀

I have travelled all my life just to “explore, see” what is out there. Even I packed my food to eat where I go. However this time, I and my hubby decided to make an exception for #onceinalifetimeexperience and I stayed one night at @bubbleiceland
I took the South Coast tour and at the end of the tour, stayed in the bubble :). Thanks to our guide, it was easier to carry my luggage :) Although I am sure he had a bit back pain at that night :) The first aim was to experience living in a bubble and also of course to see Northern Lights. I was not that lucky unfortunately for that night to see them but the experience itself was really “different, nice, and a bit scary” :) For the video, wait a bit, please :) @gopro @moment @bubbleiceland @djiglobal

Genelde, tüm seyahatlerimde “gezilecek görülecek ne varsa” onları listeye alırım ve çoğunlukla yemeğimi de yanımda götürürüm. Seyahat benim için “değişik yerler görmek” anlamına geliyor, diyebilirim. Fakat bu sefer, bir değişiklik yaptık ve “hayatta bir kere olur” diyebileceğimiz bir deneyimi yaşamak için “Balon otelde” kaldım :) Gerçekten balonu şişirmişler, hatta balon sönmesin diye iki kapıyı aynı anda açmamanız gerekiyor, ormanın içine de koymuşlar, geceyi bütün şeffaflıkla orada geçiriyorsunuz. Biraz korkutucu olsa da gerekten değişik ve güzel bir deneyimdi. Merak etmeyin çevreniz ağaçlarla çevrili ve diğer balonlar da sizin çevrenizden oldukça uzak olduğundan kimse sizi görmüyor :) ⠀⠀

If you are planning to do South Coast tour in Iceland, this is the first stop: Seljalandsfoss.
⠀⠀
You can walk behind this waterfall but be ready to get wet! Some said that I will get soaking wet, and I might need to change all my clothes (also my underwear), thanks God, it didn’t happen to me, maybe at the time I was there, it was not that powerful 😝🙏🏾 ⠀⠀
There are 3 other waterfalls next to it. The one is a bit secret (Thanks for the tip @icelandicmountainguides) and you need to walk in the water to reach that one. So be prepared if you want to explore more! I also tried to hike up and I did, but when I was coming down, oh my God, thanks to Russian tourists who literally grabbed me and carried me down :) ⠀⠀
It is 65 meters high, if you walk behind you can catch the rainbow effect.

“I am not a Pony” says Icelandic Horses :), although they are small 🐴🐴🐴
⠀⠀
What is their difference than other horses?
Breed arrived with Vikings to the Iceland. And any import of these horses were prohibited by law! So this is pure breed!
They are really friendly.
Probably the most important different is its five gaits! Other species generally have three, max 4 gaits of walk. ⠀⠀
They are deeply loved and protected by Icelandic people, although on my first day, I have encountered that people eat horse meat! I am not judging, this is something that I am not used to, but if you live under Iceland circumstances, you would probably understand that you need heavy protein to work against wind, snow and cold (that beats you down)! ⠀⠀
It was so lovely to have chance to see, ride and pet them! Thanks for welcoming me to the Island🐴😘🏇🏼 ⠀⠀

İzlanda atlarını, diğer atlardan en önemli özellik, beş yürüyüşlü olmalarıdır. Çoğu ırk en fazla 4 yürüyüş gösterebilir. Ayrıca en saf ırklardan biridir. Rüzgara, yağmura, kara ve soğuğa karşı oldukça dayanıklılar. Çok arkadaş canlısı atlar, hemen yanınıza gelip sizinle oynamak istiyorlar, fakat benim eldivenimi biraz fazla sevdi sanırım, yemeğe çalıştı aklınızda olsun :) ⠀⠀
