Welcome to Boobie lane!

A most joyful albeit temporary installation by underwear brand Nala that features fun bags and happy valleys of all shapes, sizes and colours. Ahhh a welcome sight down an otherwise dreary Melbourne laneway. by @lezelasrie

Spotted: Smug married couple of 14 years at the neighbourhood Indian restaurant.

Like seriously is this the best they can do on their anniversary? Who does she think she is that she can carry off a mustard dress with that skin tone? And he could have at least made the effort to shave. The little boy taking their picture, he’s alright though, smart kid. At least they did something right. by @lezelasrie

Of all the things that I thought would happen ever since I moved to Australia, starting 2026 witnessing Aurora Australis was not on my list. I am grateful and thankful that I forced my husband to drive us out at 10pm thus proving I am always the fun one and ALWAYS right 😎 by @lezelasrie

As a fat girl, loving fashion is not without it’s challenges. The availability of plus size clothes have always been a hit or miss though I persevered quietly, determined to dress for myself, rather than trying to be trendy.

Saying that, I also won’t deny that I went through plenty of phases in my day, most notably a designer shoe addiction in my late 20’s/early 30’s when I had plenty of disposable income 👀. I blame SATC 💯

Once I learned to love and accept my body, I also grew increasingly fussy with the type of garments that would come to frame it. Favouring practicality over frivolity, I prefer pieces that are structured well or made with good tailoring. But above all, pieces that are built to last - because I am a serious outfit repeater. A cursory glance across my feed will tell you that 👀.

I have clothes and shoes that are close to 20 years old in my current rotation because I am never shy to invest in pieces that I know I’ll be wearing all the time.

Which brings me to the shirtdress… a favourite that will continue to see me through the ages and the one that I’m wearing is from @weihaoyong_studios 💋

When I visited @aaronyongwh in his atelier back in April, he gave me an exclusive look behind what he was working on and I couldn’t stop myself from gushing the whole time. I fell in love with a leather jacket he made a while back but seeing it in person basically sent shockwaves through my entire body. That, was my entry into his world of design and tailoring.

I didn’t leave with the jacket that day (excuse me, it is entirely bespoke 😎 and yes he did take my measurements 🤭) but I bought his Jona shirt, with the exaggerated collar and oversized silhouette and it is the best shirt I ever bought (it’s available on his site in 6 colours!)

Then a few months passed and just before my trip back to Malaysia, I asked him to make me a dress version of Jona, “with pockets! And in that soft lilac I saw in your atelier”.

I held on to it for almost a month before I had a chance to wear it last weekend and I instantly knew, it would be a wardrobe staple. My eternal gratitude Aaron ❤️ by @lezelasrie

A hastily captured unboxing and quick run of the new La Beauté Louis Vuitton.

I picked shade 030 Tender Bliss hoping this would replace a much loved Pat McGrath PMG Lip Fetish Astral Lip Balms because it looks shimmery! I am pleased to say that the formula is really nice, has a balmy slip that felt nourishing but this particular one lacked the shimmery splendour of the Astral range. It was slightly frosty at best.

The refills retails for A$115 and in comparison PMG Lip Balms online retails for A$68. In hindsight, perhaps I should have picked a solid colour instead? Oh well… it is what it is. by @lezelasrie

French Impressionism originated from a group of artists in Paris during the late 1860s and early 1870s. While Claude Monet is often considered the leading figure and is credited with giving the movement its name, other key figures include Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, and Berthe Morisot.

The concept of plein-air (outdoor) painting, usually landscape portraiture by which the artist paints directly onto canvas in situ within the landscape. This enabled the artist to better capture the changing details of weather and light.

The Impressionists were a loosely connected group of artists who shared a common vision, but didn’t consider themselves a formal school with strict rules. Hence their styles and techniques can vary and differ from one another.

2. Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Dance at Bougival.
3. Gustave Caillebotte, Fruit displayed on a stand.
4. Paul Signac, Gasometers at Clichy (the house still exists today!) Signac is also renowned for developing the Pointilism technique!
5. Eugène Louis Boudin, Fashionable figures on the beach.
6. Claude Monet, photographed outside his home in Giverny.
7. Frits Thaulow, Abbeville (note the extraordinary detail of the water).
8. Paul Huet, The Forest of Compiègne.
9. Vincent Van Gogh, Houses at Auvers.

By order of this 👸🏻, we visited the Government House in Kings Domain, Melbourne, the official residence of the Governor of Victoria.

Completed in 1876, next year it will be 150 years old!

1) The visitor
2) A regal portrait of Queen Elizabeth II hangs in the entry foyer, on loan, like many other artworks throughout the building, from the NGV.
3) The Game Room (received the Red Room makeover from the first female Governor of Victoria)
4) The Conservatory, easily my favourite room in the entire house
5) Intricate details above
6) The Drawing Room, where one could have tea and chat about potential suitors
7) Gold leaf (yes real gold from the Victorian gold rush era) details adorn the intricacies of the Ballroom
8) The Ballroom, apparently bigger than Buckingham Palace’s
9) The door to nowhere, a wonderful design quirk to add symmetry to the State Room (where fancy important dinners are held).
10) The button that caters to your every whim by @lezelasrie
