Safe schools start with strong connections!

As we kick off America's Safe Schools Week, we're introducing you to Officer Allen, our School Resource Officer at Lake Forest Community High School!

A former student-athlete who played baseball at the University of Iowa, Officer Allen knows the importance of teamwork and building meaningful relationships. Today, he brings that same spirit to LFHS, where connecting with students and staff is at the heart of his role.

Get to know Officer Allen and hear what makes being part of LFHS so special!

A special thank you to the City of Lake Forest for producing this video and helping us spotlight our SRO!

Building connections through language! 🇫🇷

The LFHS French Honor Society, La Société Honoraire de Français, kicked off its first meeting with community-building activities, plenty of French conversation, and an opportunity for students to connect with French pen pals! Some students even received responses almost immediately!

Students in Sra. Levinson’s Spanish 5 Film class took their learning beyond the classroom on Sunday to see Pan’s Labyrinth in 3D as the film returned to theaters for its 20th anniversary!

As part of their coursework, students are exploring Guillermo del Toro’s acclaimed film, which is set against the backdrop of the Spanish Civil War and examines themes of reality versus fantasy, resistance, rebellion, and the power of imagination during difficult times.

What a memorable way to connect classroom learning with a cinematic experience as Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close!

¡Bien hecho, Scouts! 🎥

Exploring possibilities and connecting with the community!

Today, Lake Forest High School hosted COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS: See It to Be It, bringing together more than 80 presenters covering over 60 topics to help freshmen and sophomores explore career paths, discover new interests, and connect with professionals from across the community.

Students participated in panels, interactive sessions, and conversations, hearing personal stories and gaining insight into a wide range of careers and opportunities. Freshmen and sophomores also heard from members of the senior class, who shared their perspectives on the four-year high school journey.

Thank you to all of our presenters and students who helped make this experience possible!
