I haven’t posted in a while but I just wanted to say Happy Holidays everyone! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanza, obviously the holidays can be an amazing and joyous time for a lot of people but it can also be a difficult time for others. No matter who you are, what part of the world you’re located in, what situation you’re facing right now, or what you celebrate, I pray that whether you’re in your amazing and joyous mountaintop season or in your difficult valley season, but especially if you’re in your difficult valley season, that God and Jesus will give you comfort and that they’ll get you through the holidays. Even though it might feel like you’re alone, just remember that you’re not alone. I really hope that this will encourage someone to keep going. Now let’s celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ together!🎉💖 by @lgarris23

We live in a society who teaches you that when you find someone to date or marry, everything in your life will be great...that’s not true. Yes, love is a beautiful thing but another person should not determine your happiness. I’m single and I know what it feels like to just want someone to go out on a date with. But I learned that a guy should never determine my happiness. And I learned that I would much rather wait and let God give me a healthy and beautiful relationship rather than just settle in an unhealthy relationship just so I won’t be single. And also...being single is not a bad thing! Again, love is beautiful but at the end of the day, I can get so much love from God, I have love for myself, I have a great family, and I have amazing girlfriends💖 by @lgarris23

A lot of us are taught growing up that God is great and loving but if we do/say/think something wrong, then God will punish us in a cruel way. And it is true that what you put into the world, you’ll get back. But God shouldn’t be feared at all and he has such an unconditional love for all of us and his arms are always wide open to us at all times no matter where we’re at in our lives. And I just realized that this whole time, I knew that God was loving but I also had this fear of him in the back of my mind. And I learned that God knows the right timing for me and what I desire but I realized that if I don’t get my desires, it’s not because God is punishing me in a cruel way. It’s because I only see what’s presented to me but God sees what happens behind closed doors. So he’s not punishing me, he really cares about me so much that he’s really protecting me from what goes on behind the scenes. Like I said, trust God🙏🏾💖 by @lgarris23
