There’s a saying that I love: “Be where your feet are…” I am constantly worrying about the future or dwelling on the past instead of staying present and being where my feet are, exactly where I am supposed to be at that moment in time. Completely heartbroken that my brother’s father-in-law, Rick passed away yesterday. That “technical” description of who he was doesn’t even come close to who he REALLY was in my life. If you know me, then you know my sister-in-law @jodygianni is really my SISTER, my family, my best friend, my sounding board… she started dating my brother @jasongianni when I was 14 and she’s been a constant in my life since then. And so has her family… We’ve spent Super Bowls and birthdays and BBQs and Christmases and Chanukahs and weekends down the shore with the Levine family for so many years. Jody’s parents came to my gymnastics meets as a kid and Rick was the first to stand up and yell “NICE ARCH!!” (and mean it!) even though I was about to fall over on a handstand on bars (which I wasn’t supposed to do).

He was a super fan of everything that I did. He would ask about work, he treated my daughter like one of his own grandchildren, he was the best taste tester when I would try out a new recipe in the kicthen, and he would always encouraging me to dream big about starting my own Bed & Breakfast someday (which, fun fact is my life long goal)…

Rick, I will miss watching you take 25 minutes to set up your beach chair. We will never forget your incredibley strong Brooklyn accent as well as will your zest for life and the way you loved hard. Sending all our love to Jody, Ronni, @douglevine31, @bellagiannix, Griffin, and Lucy.

Happy 8th Grade Graduation to our girl, Harper. Proud is an understatement…you have worked so hard and we have loved watching you grow into this strong, kind, confident, funny, witty, wonderful young lady. Keep doing what you are doing…you are unstoppable and the sky’s the limit! We will always be right by your side, supporting you as your biggest cheerleaders! Soooo, it only took us 14 years to turn Harper‘s old bedroom into a den/office. Here are the befores, the during, and the afters… i’m pretty sure that I’m gonna get kicked out of this cozy space by my teenager/husband/dog very quickly… 🤦‍♀️ @slappyj5 @harperaaronn by @lgianniaaron
