In August, I experienced a moment of 90s nostalgia at the @dunkmanofficial World Championship live broadcast, created by NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal in partnership with #TNT Sports. 🏀✨

I was inspired by Chen. He didn’t take the win, but at age 40 standing 5’9”, he’s a fierce competitor.

Age is just a number. Passion is everything.🙌🏾🔥

I viewed “The African Game” exhibition at the African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (@adama_atl ) last weekend.

Powerful photography and film by filmmaker and photographer @shot_by_andrew_dosunmu !

He captures the spirit of football (soccer) across the African continent, exploring the intersection of modern traditions, culture, and community.

A beautifully curated and thought-provoking exhibition.

This spring, I experienced “Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses”, on view through December 2026 @brooklynmuseum . As someone who works at the intersection of art, culture, and entertainment, this exhibition was a true gift.

Featuring more than 140 extraordinary haute couture creations alongside contemporary artworks and design, the exhibition highlights @irisvanherpen as a visionary in her approach to fashion. Her work has been worn by icons including Beyoncé, Björk, Cate Blanchett, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande.

Experiencing her practice in a museum setting was an inspiring reminder that exceptional craftsmanship and artistry continues to thrive—not only in commercial entertainment, but across the broader creative landscape.

Recently, I visited the @studiomuseum . It was awesome to experience the renovated space. The last time I was there was in 2016.

Assistant Curator, Jason Overby, provided a walkthrough with @shepreebright and me. It was nice to capture the energy.

Harlem is most definitely a special place. Inspiring to witness the museum’s continued commitment to #art, #blackculture, and #community. taken in Studio Museum in Harlem by @lgriffinstudio

Wonderful to see intersections of Atlanta’s community come out in support of the opening of “Through Our Eyes” art exhibition yesterday. With more than 210 RSVPs, the evening was a celebration of storytelling through photography.

Congratulations to @shepreebright on her partnership with @one.contemporary and collaboration with photographers @jyphoto , @y.s.a , and @nicole_craine in presenting a vibrant expression of what it means to be an #ATL resident, during the kickoff of the #WorldCup festivities.

It was good energy and meaningful to have @leicacamerausa executives show up as sponsors and support the vision.

I’m incredibly proud to be part of the team helping bring moments like this to life!

A time was definitely had at the @leicacamerausa Gallery in New York in May!

The luxury camera brand presented “Leica 100”, a group exhibition and publication celebrating photographers, storytelling, and creative community during Leica Camera’s global centennial celebration in 2025.

I had an incredible time connecting with inspiring creatives, hearing their stories, and celebrating the power of photography. Grateful for the experience and the amazing people I met along the way. Big hugs to all ✨📸✨🤗

Tune into Episode 97 of the “Content Aware” Podcast hosted by @jsybylla to learn more about the “Footwork: Where We Gather ” exhibition at @carlosmuseum and “Through Our Eyes”opening this week at @one.contemporary in Atlanta, 6/11!

Sharing highlights from a great day at the #carlosmuseum, where I captured behind-the-scenes footage of the podcast recorded live in the gallery alongside Bright’s “Footwork: Where We Gather” series.

“Through Our Eyes” spotlights Bright’s vision as a @leicacamerausa shooter to invite three talented female photographers—@jyphoto, @y.s.a, and @nicole_craine—to join her in a visual tribute to #Legendary soccer player #Pelé and Atlanta communities during the #fifa #WorldCup2026.

🍎 Location: One Contemporary Gallery

"Through Our Eyes", produced by Atlanta Lens based artist Sheila Pree Bright, was born from the energy and anticipation surrounding the FIFA World Cup’s arrival in Atlanta. As a city rooted in the legacy of the civil rights movement while emerging as a global sports destination, Atlanta exists at a powerful intersection of culture, history, and community. This exhibition offers an opportunity to see the city beyond headlines and stereotypes through the richness, complexity, and beauty of its communities.

The exhibition features Sheila Pree Bright’s new series, "Where We Gather", an exploration of sports fan culture, alongside works by three women photographers selected by Bright: Nicole Craine, Julie Yarbrough, and Ysa Lopez. Bright’s mission was to spotlight professional women photographers outside the traditional fine arts world, each bringing a unique photographic perspective to Atlanta’s rich and diverse communities.

The exhibition also honors Pelé, whose artistry on the soccer field transcended sport. Through movement, creativity, and connection, Pelé united people across borders, languages, and cultures while helping elevate soccer onto the global stage. That same spirit of unity, storytelling, and cultural exchange is at the heart of Through Our Eyes.

#OldAtlanta — 2011, my sister @shepreebright, lens-based artist, gifted me her #NikonD90 as she upgraded to the next generation of cameras that year. It was the first Nikon DSLR to offer 720p HD video recording, and I instantly fell in love with it. 😍 Back then, camera phones were not what they are today and you could capture with DSLRs from audience seats.

Looking back at these photos, I remember how present and engaged the audience was during #RaphaelSaadiq’s performance. One fan even handed him a pen and pad for an autograph. In another moment, a woman was pulled from the audience to take a photo on stage. Now, the new autograph is a selfie.

I miss those days and grateful to have these images as a memoir of that moment in time. The #Sinners performance at the Oscars reminded me how much I miss seeing @saadiqmoves live.

The future in me always appreciates the inner child. Painting a classroom wall with these joyful ones was too cool. We designed within the lines, followed instructions, discussed tranquility, and I shared how our wall colors reminded me of the pastels in #AmySherald's work. These 8th graders learned that day about a young girl who would grow up to paint First Lady Michelle Obama. Special thanks @carverymca facilitator @heyelisegarcia and #UTAProjectImpactATL for a heartfelt 'give thanks' moment. Wishing everyone a Happy Friendsgiving!".
