Anyone who knows me well enough knows how much this means to me. After spending 3 years out of high school at Umiami where I was dealing with a lot of mental health issues, I dropped out after failing all of my classes my last semester and losing my scholarship. Took time off to work full time and get my life together before finally deciding to restart school. So finally after 8 years I graduated today from Rutgers with my Bachelor’s degree. Thank you to my family and friends who all helped me through this process and didn’t give up on me. Love you guys.

Oh yeah and I last minute went to EDC Las Vegas this weekend thanks to some of my friends. Pretty good week if you ask me. by @lhack55

To my beautiful sister Renee,

Today is the day we have all been waiting for! Your wedding day. Since I’m not doing a speech at the wedding so I thought I would surprise you with this. I am so happy for both you and Sean. Thank you for putting up with my shenanigans over the years, like when I go into your room to steal your mirror so I can pose after a workout. I will officially have to pass on the torch to Sean now. Thank you for having such a fun and loving personality. It allows us to share fun jokes like “8:43” and of course all of the SpongeBob references that Brian and I roast you for if you don’t know what episode they’re from. Thank you for being someone I can always rely on and vent to, even in my darkest hours. You always know how to cheer me up and make me smile, and I am glad you have found someone in Sean who will be able to do the same for you. If you remember, years ago, you were the reason I chose not to dance at one of the weddings we attended. Well, life comes full circle because tonight you are the reason I will be dancing and celebrating. I love you Nerd!

To Sean,

When I was younger I always thought I would have to be super protective of Renee when she started dating. Even though I was the younger brother, I wanted to make sure no one would ever hurt Renee. After a short time of getting to know you though, I soon realized that would not be an issue. I watched you treat my sister with love and compassion, and saw you sacrifice to make her happy. I realized over time that I would no longer have to bare the full responsibilities of protecting her: she had found her teddy bear in you to keep her safe at night (especially from ducks). I have always said that even if you and Renee never met each other that you would be someone I would enjoy being friends with. I have realized now though that you are someone I enjoy having as a brother. Thank you for being the older brother I never had. I know you always put a smile on Renee’s face, but you also do the same for me. Thank you, I love you, and welcome to the family!

Decided to hire a coach a couple months ago to help me step up in my fitness journey. Ended up hiring a great coach but better friend. Thanks @brianwatkinson for training with me yesterday. I appreciate everything you’ve helped me with both physically and mentally and am excited to continue to grow 🫡😈 taken in Paramount Gym by @lhack55

Not really sure why I’m doing this now but it feels right to me so here goes nothing:

I decided to post this as both a reminder to myself and hopefully to someone who reads this to keep pushing through life. These pictures were taken almost 4 years apart. I have gone through a lot over these last 4 years. Going to school in Miami I was in a dark spot, dealing with depression and thoughts of suicide. I hated myself and the thoughts of having to continue through life seemed overwhelming to me. One of the few things in my life that kept me happy however was the gym. It’s a place where I knew I could focus on bettering myself each and every day. While I am still far from where I want to be both physically and mentally, I have definitely come a long way and am proud of myself for continuing to fight to get better. Find something you love to do and surround yourself with people who want to see you reach your dreams. Again I am still a major work in progress, but I am getting there and that’s what’s important. So keep pushing through life and don’t give up on yourself. You might not be there yet, but one day you will be. And thank you to everyone who has helped me in any way shape or form along the way. I wouldn’t be here without any of you. by @lhack55
