As beautiful as Charleston is, the food will always be my number 1 priority when visiting. First up: Heavy’s Barburger 🍔 @heavysbarburger

We had some awesome cocktails for our anniversary at the pool right next to the Kiawah River

One of the best pork chops of my life @lostislejohnsisland and the carrots that I couldn’t stop eating long enough to get a picture 🤦‍♀️

Last but not least our first meal of the trip was brunch @linnetteschs it was next level worth the drive from Charleston if you find yourself in the area.

Blackberries grow crazy out here

We got so many !

Had to make cobbler, obviously (best one I’ve ever made, I adjusted and saved the recipe if anyone is curious)

Caprese Grilled cheese on Sourdough (didn’t make that, working on my bread skills 🤦‍♀️)

Our own basil, lemon boy, Roma, and San Marzanos:

Roasted for sauce (Justin was mvp here while I was in Colorado)

We froze about 6 bags of sauce, again, still working on my canning skills.

Okra, it’s growing on me (no pun intended) I’m learning to love it haha

Try roasting basil flowers, they are so good and we had to get creative cause we had so much

Tried our hand at fermentation (use grape leaves to keep veggies crunchy’

Not looking forward to grocery store produce here soon 😢

Now that summer is officially over, taking in our best garden project ever. A lot of work, learning curves, and lot of vitamin D therapy ,plus a TON of tomatoes, so many that I need to learn more about canning and preserving(tips welcome). This month we celebrated 6 years together, in October we celebrated 1 year married. Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina. But, most importantly DOLLYWOOD!
