📸 The @magnumphotos Square Print Sale is now open and runs until Sunday, March 29! Link in bio 👆 I’m thrilled to be part of the 27th Square Print Sale, exploring the theme “Odyssey.” In collaboration with @thephotographersgallery and @tpgprintsales, this edition presents a curated selection of time-limited prints by acclaimed artists — including my own contribution, Plate VII from the series Plates I–XXXI. It is an homage to the wild animals around us — our animalistic neighbors. For this series, I dine and drink in friends’ gardens and terraces. The table settings then become potential still lifes through my intervention. After I leave, a camera remains as a passive observer for hours or even days, capturing the animals’ presence. The series explores the grey zone between document, arrangement, and manipulated coincidence. Odyssey is a journey — across landscapes, through time, and within ourselves. This sale traces moments of passage: roads taken, borders crossed, and the pull of the unknown. Featuring over 100 photographs chosen by the artists themselves, it reveals paths of discovery across places and generations. 🖼️ Over 100 museum-quality 6×6“ prints are available online for one week only, signed or estate-stamped, priced from $110/£110/€120. ⏳ Sale closes Sunday, March 29, at midnight EDT by @lia_darjes
Last chance to get yourself a copy of @lia_darjes Plates I-XXI. The enigmatic guests at Lia Darjes’ banquet seem straight out of a fairy tale. Plates I-XXXI is a silent series in vivid colours that unveils the magic of an unexpected reality. by @lia_darjes
We're thrilled to announce our first 2026 show, "Lia Darjes. Plates-I-XXXI". The series by the German photographer will be shown at Maison de l'enfance et de l'adolescence, a collaboration with Fondation Convergences. 19.01 - 27.03.2026. • During the lockdown, the artist found inspiration in watching a squirrel approach a piece of cake left on her parents’ garden table. She recreated this scene by inviting her loved ones to share meals in the same place, or by inviting herself into other people’s gardens, and then collects the remains — dishes, flowers, crumbs — carefully arranged as the beginnings of a contemporary still life. The artist then set up her camera, programmed to trigger in her absence when movement occurs. The camera sometimes remained there for a night, sometimes for a week, open to the possibility that an animal might enter the frame and thus capture a suspended moment. The exhibition celebrates the subtle coexistence of human and animal life, while inviting viewers to rediscover the simple beauty of a shared world. • @lia_darjes @convergences_ge #photography #art #artingeneva #animals #flowers #night #squirrels #stilllifephotography • by @lia_darjes
Very happy to share that Plates I–XXI by @lia_darjes has been shortlisted as one of the five finalists for the Prix des Libraires, an award initiated by @france_photobook where booksellers select their favourite photobook of the year. It’s especially meaningful that the jury is made up of booksellers—the people closest to the public, and key ambassadors of our work as publishers. It tells us that we’re creating books that resonate widely, even if they’re not made to please everyone. The winner will be announced on October 20. Thank you to the members of the jury: @abbayedelagrasse.lesartsdelire @atelier_librairie @mep.paris @librairielefailler @librairiemassenanice @ombresblanches @librairie7l @librairiepetiteegypte @librairiedurance @lalibrairiedeshalles @librairiesensations @lalibrairiedeclermont @librairiemillepages @librairie_la_meridienne @librairie_lestraversees by @lia_darjes
