i’m always extra grateful to be able to travel for my birthday. a long time ago, i made the conscious decision that my birthday is about me. showing up for myself, celebrating myself and doing whatever feeds my soul and honestly, that changed everything.

no big group dinners. no group activities. no pressure to make the day look a certain way. just me doing whatever tf i wanna do, wherever in the world i wanna do it 😂

(and usually with my boo + my auntie, who happens to share the same birthday with me 🥹)

last year was barcelona. this year, back in rio for the third time.

29 feels good. grateful for another year, another stamp and another chance to choose myself

imagine squeezing through a tiny entrance on a boat just to be surrounded by the most unreal natural glowing blue cave. the videos genuinely don’t do it justice.

i booked a five-island boat tour from split through @viator, and this was easily one of the highlights of my trip

tucked inside the 1,700-year-old diocletian’s palace, it’s giving dalmatian and mediterranean cuisine.

croatian wine is a MUST. my only regret? not ordering the octopus!

six days in Europe I’ll take it 🤭saving for later? perfect I share travel inspo, itineraries and I’m hosting a group trip next Labor Day ✈️

flew @united and @lufthansa getting to Barcelona @dulles_airport and honestly the flight price was on me (I waited too long to book 😭) And yes… we could’ve learned the subway, but we just scheduled Uber ahead everywhere 🤷🏽‍♀️ *prices based on 3 split*

stay was located in the Gràcia neighborhood not too far from downtown, about 15-30 min (price based on a double room)

between the flight, where we stayed, eating whatever I wanted, and doing all the must-do experiences it was worth it 🙂‍↕️ I’d love to go back and visit Spain!

I learned all of this the hard way
1. the long Uber waits
2. the sold-out tickets
3. walking around hungry at 6pm while the whole city is still outside
• Schedule your Ubers waits were around 15–20 minutes. to our surprise on the first night how long we had to wait. Times fluctuate in the downtown area with taxis
• Book Park Güell, Sagrada Família & Casa Milà the moment you book your flight not a second later.
• Dinner is late usually 8:30–10pm, make sure to set reservations. Everyone’s eating promptly at 8:30 and paces fill up fast.
• Picasso Museum has free admission days to save your euros
