The worst part about touring NZ and Australia was the fact that I had to leave at all

For real though, what a beautiful time. I’m lucky to do what I do, with these boys and the friends along the way taken in Down Under by @liam_cremmins

Jankmaxxing some Days of Wine and Roses

I’ve been really into the plucky rubber bridge sound lately, so the other day I went and got some sponge to shove up under the strings of this Teisco and it sounds lovely taken in East Nashville, Tennessee by @liam_cremmins

It’s entirely possible I’m the only person who thinks this is cool, but it’s neat how the QC can be used as a pretty robust FX rack in a DAW setting taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @liam_cremmins

FF Tour wrapped up 8 months and 85 shows later. It takes a special group of people to have you wondering where all the time went when it’s all said and done. So much love, and unrelenting dedication from every nook and corner of this camp; grateful and proud beyond words to be a part of it. Thanks to @flatlandcavalry as always, and thanks to the crew bois who I could trust to get that shit done every single night. Yall rock taken in Far and wide by @liam_cremmins

Figured I’d take the time to document our @flatlandcavalry backline rig as we hit the end of the year.

WTLGI US Tour. This was my first big boi FOH gig and I don’t think it could have been with a better group of people. Every day was a new challenge and lesson; every day this band inspired me and made me proud to be a small part of something special.

Thank you all for your patience and support and love. Thanks for coming to the shows. See y’all next time! by @liam_cremmins

If you know me well you’d know that I was always pretty irreverent regarding “end of year reflection” type sentiment. Never really saw it as much more than one month transitioning to the next; never had much of a reason to.

But goddamn dude, what the fuck?

And I struggle to even understand where I can start, how to process or verbalize a year where I experienced the full dynamic range of human emotion and somehow it all got tangled up into a feeling that doesn’t exist, or maybe one that exists above all. “The best of times and the worst of times” doesn’t even fuckin cover it. It was agony and awe; hopelessness running in parallel with inspiration.

I miss my brother every day. I have carried his spirit with me with me in every step. There were days where it didn’t feel worthwhile to even wake up, where the weight of my loss and the pursuit of what felt like terrifying and impossible goals loomed over me like a goddamn mountain.

But also I saw estranged family eat at the same table, laugh at the same memories. I connected with old friends whose paths had seemed to stray from mine. I have taken leaps of faith and I have seen the growth that comes with allowing myself to be uncomfortable. I have gained new friends, best friends, mentors; people who walk the path alongside me, who uplift me, who inspire me.

At the start of this year I was spending 40 hours a week in a warehouse sorting cables. As I write this I’m gearing up to work a show in a sold out arena. Gratitude will never be a big enough word. I have never been more sure that I am where I am supposed to be.

So aside from a bunch of rambling I wanted to say thank you, all of you (and you know who you are.) Thank you for supporting me, for teaching me, for challenging me, for loving me. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without that.

Felt funky, might delete later. This is Tidal Tail by @mjlettieri

Picked up this Danelectro Baritone yesterday so I thought its maiden voyage should be on a tune by the guy that got me into this instrument. Also gives me a chance to show off the @music_man Joe Dart bass that came in a few months back

Everything recorded via @neuraldsp Archetype Cory Wong. by @liam_cremmins

That’s a wrap for the @flatlandcavalry Wandering Star Tour. This camp took me in on the back half of the year and I didn’t feel like a stranger for a minute. This band and crew is something special. Thanks for giving this kid a chance, I’ll see y’all next year.

This is without a doubt the hardest thing I’ve ever had to experience. I had been waiting to say something publicly about it, because I wanted to try and find the right words, but it seems clear that there are never words that do justice in describing this kind of grief, so I’ll do my best anyways.

Last Sunday, we lost our little brother PJ.

This kid was an absolute fuckin hurricane of a human being; he was willful and curious, loud and endlessly [infinitely] energetic. But above all things he was relentlessly loving of his friends and family, and never wanted anything more on earth than to spend time with his siblings. He looked up to me with a fervor I don’t think I’ll ever truly earn. I’ll always aspire to be the version of myself that he saw in me.

PJ was my best friend, my player 2, he gave me levels of joy and frustration that only a little brother could have. He taught me so much in so little time.

And I think like many other relationships in my life (especially my family) I was never able to truly show him how much he meant to me, how proud I was of the person he had grown to be. How when I was with him last, hearing him practice the guitar I gave him for Christmas two years ago was a gift in and of itself, how excited I was to hear that he loved the music I had shown him, how much I looked forward to watching and helping him grow as he pursued his passions, whatever they may have been.

After all how could anyone expect to lose that chance so soon?

And I think that’s what I’ve gained from this. It’s easy to get lost in your own world, but there’s never ever a bad time to express how much somebody means to you, you don’t know when you’ll run out of chances. I want to take this moment to tell everybody in my life, whether your role is big or small, that I love you, I appreciate every moment I’ve had with you, that your impact runs deeper than you could ever know. I’ll never forget this lesson.

I appreciate all of the love you’ve given me through all of this, I wouldn’t be able to do it without my friends and my family.

I love you PJ, I hope that you’re resting peacefully, and that you know your bro will always be on your side. by @liam_cremmins

Wow, what a journey.

I left with a nothing but a bag, a guitar, and no idea what to expect; what I gained in my month long stay was a heart filled with memories and gratitude for every moment. Thank you to everyone I crossed paths with for your constant, relentless welcome and aid and good-will. You took me into your homes, your hearts, your music and your culture. It is something I can truly never forget taken in India by @liam_cremmins
