Congratulations @arsenal 🔴⚪️🔴Had to dig this one out of the archive.A little while back I got to photograph Ian Wright — someone I’ve looked up to for as long as I can remember. Not just for what he did on the pitch, but for the kind of person he is off it.The shoot was for a campaign against bullying.Last night’s achievement made this feel worth sharing again. Proper proud moment.Legend doesn’t even cover it. 🙌 by @liamarthurphoto

A short video portrait following on from last weeks postThis short edit was shot very quickly alongside the Still images in my previous post. We had 40 mins for both, and getting some video was considered a bonus. I really enjoy thinking about a portrait in the filmic sense, and I think this execution adds to it effectiveness across different platforms. It features Claudine, shot for @saltthinking and @youokaydoc featured at this years @pmsociety awards raising awareness for the charity’s work, by highlighting the mental health experiences of healthcare professionals through a positive lens. The aim was to create an authentic piece that felt both emotive and hopeful. Salt collected messages from practising HCPs, each offering words of encouragement in a handwritten, signed note. These messages were then embroidered onto medical scrubs, turning them into a permanent reflection of that shared support. The thread symbolises the support stitched into the daily lives of HCPs, and the strength that carries them through each shift. The finished garment was worn by Claudine, a Consultant Gynaecologist, and filmed in clinic at the end of her shift. The portrait captures a private moment after a demanding day, a quiet exhale when the weight lifts just enough to remind you that you are not alone. by @liamarthurphoto

A few years ago I started shooting film alongside my photographic work. An important part of the process was learning how to integrate my photographic style into a moving format. My stills work already sits somewhere between set up and spontaneous - I'll create a scenario and then shoot within it as naturally as I can, trying to make the imagery feel as real and as captured as possible. A big part of that is light. A lot of thought and craft goes into making light feel like it belongs - recreating the quality of natural light rather than imposing something on a scene. It should feel found, not placed. That approach carried straight into film, where that same quality of light becomes even more important in holding the mood across a sequence of moments.Moving to film just meant connecting those moments together, letting them breathe into something longer - extending the boundaries of a single moment into a series of moments that built a narrative and a feel. by @liamarthurphoto

Some Images from a recent campaign for Bupa.Shot across Europe, we captured Staff and locations for a brand library.A really fun shoot to do with great people, including a pretty surreal couple of days in Madrid when all of the power outed and we were left in a pitch black hotel with only warm beer to keep the masses placated. As an interesting side note, this was my first experience of the application of AI. Due to the power cut, the production co was unable to shoot the b-roll film they needed, they ended up animating my stills that we had already captured with great results, a real life saver. Thanks as always to the wonderful @dark_sara and @plasticpictures.tv for having me on board. by @liamarthurphoto

I got into photography through a love of documentary.Despite years of working in the industry, my true love of this media lies in images that observe the world and particularly the people in it. We live in a world of curation and brand, and a lot of my work nowadays is about making images around an idea to sell something. But I always try and work in a way that honours my love for observational image making. I have been lucky enough to be involved in a few documentary projects across the years, and I am sharing a few examples, because it is the thing I like doing the most, and in a commercial sense I think it is more relevant than ever that the core of what I do stylistically is rooted in real stories and real people. by @liamarthurphoto

A few images from a recent lifestyle shoot for Ila LivingPart of a brand library for the company to use across multiple channelsThese types commissions keep coming in, and often we are replacing CGI renders with the real locations. So is this something that would be replaced by AI? or do we think that there will always be an appetite for shooting the real spaces/people?? I love doing these, and there is often scenarios and images that come out of the shoots that we hadn’t thought of in the pre-production stage. I provided a library of over 100 images shot over two days, I wonder what the cost comparison would be to do the same thing artificially? Answers on a postcard. by @liamarthurphoto
