Given everything being talked about lately around violence against women and the attitudes some men have towards women, this conversation hit a little differently. I'm not comparing experiences, but the way we speak to and about women matters.

I've been talking to a guy on and off for a while. We've never actually met. Today he told me he wasn't sexually attracted to me. Fine. Genuinely. Nobody owes anyone attraction.

He then explained he wants someone “conventionally pretty”, feminine, submissive and softly spoken.

Anyone who knows me is already fucking laughing at that for sure 😂

Apparently being independent and outspoken aren't feminine traits, “most men” won't find that attractive and I should reflect on why I've been called “too much” and “too full on”.

Look, I KNOW I can be a lot. I'm loud, opinionated, ridiculously independent, I talk too much, get excited and care deeply. I'm absolutely not everyone's cup of tea.

But I'm actually pretty fucking happy with who I am.

Apparently saying that made me arrogant, toxic and narcissistic.

Again… WE HAVE NEVER MET 😂 Yet somehow I was getting a full performance review of my personality and apparently failing probation spectacularly.

Eventually I stopped arguing and basically said thanks for the feedback, but I'm good.

His response?

“I hope you die alone.” Followed by “You fat slut.”

I replied 👍 because seriously, what else do you say? 😂

You don't have to like me. You don't have to find me attractive. You can absolutely think I'm too much.

But I don't have to become less.

I'll work on myself, take genuine feedback and own my shit when I'm wrong. But I'm not becoming quieter, smaller or submissive just to be more attractive to men.

And after being lectured about my toxic behaviour only to end up being called a fat slut…

I'm not entirely convinced I'm the one who needs the self-reflection. 😂👍

Anyway… apparently existing as a loud, independent woman in 2026 is quite the controversial activity 😂

Business owner life… but make it realistic 😂

Some days I’m sitting at my desk pretending I’ve got my shit together. Some days I work from a café because I desperately need some form of human interaction.

And then there are days like today… chilling on the couch, Huddy nearby, catching up on all the new EPs that have dropped from some of my fave artists over the last couple of days, while finally doing the bookkeeping I’ve been avoiding for far too long. 🙃

One thing I bloody love about working for myself is that work doesn’t always have to look the same.

Today’s office: the couch.🛋

Today’s unfortunate responsibility: bookkeeping 😂

Could definitely be worse.

September brought new opportunities, new friendships, and a whole lot of clarity.

The biggest lesson? Actions speak louder than words. I’m matching energy, protecting my peace and making time for the people and things that make time for me.

Now onto Chapter 10. Birthday month, more music, the gig list is hugeeeeeeeee, more adventures and apparently turning a number i do not wish to advertise loudly lol… although I’m still convinced I’m about 19. 😂

These bloody jeans. 😂

They’re the smallest pair I own and for almost 4 months they have been a HARD no. Today? Still a little snug, but they’re on, they’re comfy and I actually feel fucking good in them.

I’ve been pretty quiet on the weight loss/getting healthy front because, well... I ate my feelings for a while. Situationship heartbreak really did a number on me for longer than it shpuld have and apparently carbs were my chosen coping mechanism 😂

But this feels like a little “fuck yeah, I’m getting there” moment.

The scales aren’t really telling the story, but my body definitely is. Even at netball last week I felt fitter, moved more and finished feeling bloody good.

So yep... the little jeans are officially back in rotation.

And she’s pretty fucking happy about it. 🖤

Interrupting my usual music spam for a little proud business owner moment 🥹🏆

@babysittersondemand has won another award for 2026, and I think I sometimes forget to stop and appreciate just how far this little business has come.

I’ve actually been babysitting and nannying in one form or another for 20+ years now, which is slightly terrifying to say out loud 😂

What started as random babysitting and nannying jobs eventually became Babysitters on Demand, and today we support families across WA, work alongside government agencies supporting vulnerable clients, and are growing our work within the corporate sector to help families find a more sustainable work-life balance.

For a LONG time, I ran BOD alongside working full time. This year I finally decided to back myself, go all in on business full time and see what I could actually build when I gave my own ideas the same energy I’d spent years giving everyone else’s.

And fuck, I’m glad I did. ❤️

There’s still so much more I want to do with BOD, but this is definitely one of those moments where I need to stop for a second and go... yeah, I’m actually pretty bloody proud of this one.

Here’s to whatever comes next 🥂
