After nearly a decade of hoping, praying, waiting, and believing, it feels surreal to finally say…

WE’RE HAVING A BABY! 💕🎀✨

The road to this point was longer than we imagined. There were seasons of resilience, moments of loneliness, and days when faith was all we had to hold on to. But even in the silence, God was still writing our story and we found our way.

A blessing delayed is not a blessing denied. In His perfect time, God kept His promise.

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. Baby girl is already surrounded by so much love, and we cannot wait for the moment we finally meet her.

Christmas will be a little more magical this year because our greatest gift arrives this December. 🎄💖

Baby Brooks, Mommy and Daddy cannot wait to meet you. 🩰🎀

All glory and thanks belong to God. To our family and our tribe, thank you for your prayers, love, and support throughout the years.

37 Trips Around the Sun 🌞♌️🦁✨

One thing is for certain, I am BLESSED! Two things for sure, my man gonna make sure I enjoy every minute of my birthday. Baby, thank you for another AMAZING birthday!! I have spent 14 birthdays as your lady, and each year you make it so special. From dinner at my favorite restaurant to singing and dancing the night away at the R&B Tour, you made sure your girl was CELEBRATED! 🥹😘💋❤️

This birthday feels a little different though. It feels like the start of a beautiful new chapter. So many new beginnings, new opportunities, and new blessings have been pouring into my life lately, and I’m taking it all in with a very full and grateful heart. ✨

To EVERYONE who called, texted, posted, sent a gift, stopped by, or took even a moment to wish me a Happy Birthday, THANK YOU! 🫶🏽 I truly felt the love from every direction.

There is so much to be grateful for and even more to look forward to. I don’t take any of it for granted.

Ciao for now. 🧘🏽‍♀️✌🏽💖✨

After so many beautiful years of Sunday Service, deep breaths, good music, laughter, growth, and FLOW… my time guiding Vibe & Flow every Sunday morning at Fifth Quarter is coming to a close. 🥹

This practice has been so much more than a class to me. Watching so many of you step onto your mats, and allowing me to guide you through movement, stillness, breath, and everything in between has been such a gift.

We’ve stretched. We’ve flowed. We’ve breathed through the hard stuff. We’ve laughed. We’ve probably cursed a pose or two. 😂 Somewhere along the way, we built a little Sunday morning community that I will always hold close to my heart.

Yoga has taught me that nothing is meant to stay exactly the same forever. We grow. We shift. We make space. And sometimes, honoring the practice means knowing when it’s time to move into a new season.

On Sunday, August 16th, I’ll guide my final regularly scheduled Vibe & Flow class at Fifth Quarter. I would absolutely love to fill the room with the people who have made these years so special. 🫂✨

But hear me when I say… this is NOT goodbye.

Vibe & Flow isn’t going anywhere. I’ll still be popping up from time to time for special flows, events, and opportunities for us to meet back on the mat together. So instead of goodbye…

Ciao for now.

Thank you for trusting me to guide you.
Thank you for breathing with me.
Thank you for flowing with me.
And most of all, thank you for allowing Vibe & Flow to become what it became.

Tomorrow is Election Day, but today I want to take a moment to recognize someone far more important than politics. My wife.
One of the most rewarding and humbling aspects of public service is knowing there are people who believe in you and trust in your ability to help them. They share their stories, their struggles, and their vulnerabilities with you. Sometimes, if the circumstances align, you’re able to help provide a solution quickly. Other times, solutions take longer and require patience. Some people understand that process, while others understandably grow frustrated waiting for results. Through all of it, the opportunity to serve remains a privilege.
What people don’t always see are the quiet moments. The moments when you wonder if your efforts will ever be enough. The moments when the weight of serving others settles in and you carry those feelings in silence. The moments when criticism from those you’re working for hits harder than you’d ever let on, and you still have to show up the next day with a smile on your face and a willingness to help. What people don’t always see is the people behind the scenes who help carry that weight.

My wife keeps me grounded. She lifts me up when I’m discouraged, reminds me who I am when I forget, and never lets me lose sight of why I serve in the first place. She has been my sounding board, my safe place, along with my mother has been my biggest supporter, and the person who has stood beside me through some of the most difficult battles of my life not related to public service.
She may not attend every political event or meeting, but she provides the fuel that allows me to keep showing up for others. She understands that service often means sacrificing time that could otherwise be spent together, and she has always supported my purpose, even when that sacrifice isn’t easy. I am blessed that she chose me.

So I want to recognize the spouses and families of everyone on our team. They don’t ask to be part of campaigns, yet they often find themselves caught in the crosshairs. Through it all, they handle it with grace.
