It’s my season of learning ✨ With both my girls staying longer at school, it means I get more time for myself and learn new things.

Lately, I’ve been into cooking 🧑‍🍳 And who doesn’t love a good TexMex? Enjoyed this cooking class led by Ines and Elian of @chihuahuaph and hosted by ISM PCA ❤️

Got paired with the lovely Suma who was a natural in the kitchen.👌

Stories are a great way to start learning. 📚

Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski joined the children of Project PEARLS in Bulacan for their Brain Booster session, beginning the activity with a storytelling session before joining the kids in fun learning activities.

Together with the queens of The Miss Philippines 2026 and Miss Universe Philippines Head of Women Empowerment Committee and Charity Lia Ramos, Bea spent the morning engaging with the children and sharing a meaningful learning experience.

And then… trip number 3 to the ER. 😳

I had some difficulty in breathing from time to time, so back to the ER I went by midnight. This was when the doctors decided to keep me overnight for observation and run tests to try to figure out what was causing the hives.

Thankfully, I was already in touch with my immunologist/ allergologist after my 2nd trip to the ER and she helped me go through this ordeal. ❤️

And here’s the interesting part… My blood tests showed NO allergic reaction. 🤯

According to my doc, what I had was acute urticaria and could have been triggered by hormonal imbalance, emotional stress, viral infection.. in other words, nothing definitive. I was discharged after my overnight stay at the hospital and given medication for a week.

So far, the week went through uneventful. Today, Sunday, is my last day of medication and hopefully the hives don’t reappear 🙏

So I’m curious… has any of you experienced something similar?
I’d love to hear your stories. Maybe someone else’s experience can help other people going through the same thing. 🤍

About a week ago, I woke up with hives and ended up in the ER 😳

At first, I thought I was having an allergic reaction to the eye drop I was given before my LASIK procedure. It was the last thing I used before going to bed and it seemed like the obvious cause of my rashes.

But as it turns out… it was something else. 👀

What started as an unexpected outbreak turned into not one, but multiple trips to the ER last weekend.

I’m sharing what happened because, honestly, I’m still trying to make sense of it all. Sharing with you PART 1 of this story. 🫣

So as not to alarm you, I am doing OK and on medication as of the moment.🤞🏻

Bits and pieces from August ✨

Survived the school break. Now ready to get back to our daily routine with kids back to school. ⏰🧘🏻‍♀️📚

✨My glasses era is almost over. 👓✨

After so many years of reaching for my glasses first thing in the morning, I’m finally taking the leap and getting LASIK at 45!

I’m excited and nervous, but honestly… so ready to wake up and see clearly without reaching for my glasses.

So before I say goodbye, here’s a little tribute to the glasses that have been part of so many chapters of my life. I have experimented with different shapes, which one is your fave? 🤍

Soon I can say hello to a whole new view. 👀✨

S A M A L 🏝️🦀🐠 A mini reunion back in a place close to our heart. Grew up in Davao City and Samal was the closest island we would visit on a regular basis for a quick escape from the city. Happy to have shared this place with my kids and in-laws who were visiting the island for the first time. Making it even more special are my brother Juno, his wife Fiona and their kids visiting from UAE and my parents visiting from the US. (Isn’t ironic that my American in-laws live in the Ph?🫢)

Our kids enjoyed every minute spent with their cousins— playing on the sand, scouring for seashells, running around and basking under the sun until their skin turned pink and toasted.

Here’s to hoping and wishing my parents and siblings move back to the PH one day 🙏 For now this will be filed under sun-soaked summer spent in Samal 2026. 👙🐚☀️
