Hey! I know, I'm late as Hell, but I promised a full, downloadable version of this quite edgy, introspective and ruminating story, so HERE IT IS!! 🥳

You can have the full story for absolutely free (link in bio) I only ask for some kind of feedback, so I'll know what I should or shouldn't do differently.

Thank you so much for your patience! I hope you'll like it and see you under the next one! 😊❤️

@inktober Day 03-10

Well, it only took a busy weekend to trash my schedule and get back to rhythm. 😅

So, here's the past week's prompts. It wasn't that bad because a few words could be merged together. IF everything goes according to plan (what I don't have, but hey, miracles can happen), then I can continue with the smaller bits.

And yeah, the sounds are missing to finish this early. 😅 The next one will be better. ✌️

@inktober Day 2 - #relic

Well, now I know that for this I needed around 5 hours to make the drawings, and around 2 hours to fix everything and search the sounds and edit the thing. Good to know. 😅
Now see how it turns out bit by bit! 😄

@inktober Day 1 #Apple

I thought hard and in the name of YOLO, I decided to do an animatic out of these words. I'm gonna shoot myself in the foot with this one by the end of October, but it's a challenge if I can make a short film out of these words in one month, or not. #personalchallenge

So, the whole thing will be a fever dream, it will have trigger warnings... Probably... But I try to keep it managable for the sake of the challenge.

Stay tuned, buckle up and start this ride! 😄

- Death -

The next tarot card that popped out. It's about inevitable change, the death of an era to make space for the new one. It's more about rebirth and transformation than the literal thing.

I hope you like this one, and I'm coming with the next one soon! 😊
Take care and see you under the next one! ❤️

- The Lovers -

It's kinda my own interpretation of this card, because I don't think the Lovers are always literal lovers. I think the connection is what matters more than the label in this one, so I would rather call them "The Twins".

Sadly, I can't work as fast as I want because I have a few side projects, but slowly they're coming together. 😊

I hope you like this one and we'll meet under the next one! Stay safe and hydrated!! ❤️

- The Devil -

"You think I am the PROBLEM? I am only the CONSEQUENCE."

All of my dark pens cried out like babies, not gonna lie. 😅
I started to have a vision for this deck... What if I made them talk? Like a conversation they start with the reader... But to be honest it's still a bit hazy...

Let me know what you think, stay safe and we'll meet under the next one! ❤️

- The Hanged Man -

"All you need is a new perspective. Let go."

The second one of my attempt of making tarot cards. I'm kinda like thinking about the concept of each card, reflecting to the theme rather than the original design is always fun.

Let me know what you think and how do you holding up in this summer! 😊
Stay safe and we'll meet under the next one! ❤️

- Three of Swords -

I don't know about you, but lately I'm suffering from the heat, from a mild burnout and from some serious lack of inspiration.

So, I took my tarot deck (because I own one, so why the hell not), and shuffled. I thought about "the one who falls out will be my inspiration", and this one fell, so here's my interpretation of the Three of Swords.

I hope you like it, and we'll meet under the next one! Keep yourself safe and drink a LOT of water! ❤️

- Crown Imperial -
Hello, long time no see! I really want to explain my absence with something like: I was enjoying myself on a beach, but I had no business on beaches so far...

After a few weeeks of trying, here is another flower I found absolutely nothing about! But here are the things I found interesting by meaning:

- Majesty & Grandeur: Its literal Latin name "imperialis" translates to "of the emperor". The striking ring of downward-facing bell-shaped flowers topped with a tuft of spiky leaves visually mimics a royal crown.

- Regal Authority: Crown Imperial has been associated with royalty and imperial power since ancient times. In Persian and Ottoman cultures, it symbolized the divine right of kings and imperial majesty. The distinctive crown-like arrangement of flowers beneath a tuft of leaves perfectly represents sovereignty and regal authority.

- Humility & Sorrow: There are two legends that were mentioned when I looked up this flower. One was about the reprimand of Jesus. According to this legend, the flowers of the Crown Imperial blooming in the Garden of Gethsemane on the Mount of Olives where Jesus was captured were white. While all the other flowers there bowed their heads in sympathy, the Crown Imperial remained proudly upright. When Jesus kindly reprimanded the flower, the Crown Imperial bowed its head, blushed in shame and shed tears from its stately flower.

The second legendary myth from the Persian national epic, the Shahnameh, written by the poet Ferdowsi, was about Siavash, an innocent, noble prince renowned for his virtue and tragic fate. After being unjustly exiled and subsequently unalived by the Turanian king Afrasiab, the plains were said to soak in his blood. According to Persian folklore, a beautiful flower sprung up from the blood of Siavash. Witnessing his tragic execution, the flower bowed its head in eternal grief. The clear drops of nectar that gather inside the petals are known as the "Tears of Siavash".

I hope you like this one and see you under the next one! Take care! ❤️

- Night-Blooming Jasmine -

I have such little time to do actual art that is criminal at this point. But! It doesn't mean I won't do it, just be slow as hell. -.-

Today (or in the past weeks), I found a flower I didn't know, and I found an interesting legend. This flower is the Night-Blooming Jasmine or the Lady of the Night.

It's a nocturnal flower, blooming during the night, having sweet fragrance and colorful flowers, making them offerings presented to Lord Shiva and Ganesh.

But aside from the religious importance and possible medical properties, there is one story that I found much later, after I was almost done with the drawing.

The story is about a princess named Parijat (or Harsingar), The Ornament of the Gods. She was one of the most beautiful princesses in the world who fell in love with Surya Deva, The Sun God. She worshipped him day and night, expressed her love through vows, songs, and poems. The God loved her back, admiring her devotion. Years later, the girl mustered her courage and conveyed her love but she was rejected because the God loved her so much, he feared he would burn her. The princess' heart shattered and in her pain she burned herself because she didn't want to be with anyone else. From her ashes rose a tree with the purest white flowers, yellow at their core as a symbol of the fact that the Sun would always remain in her heart.

The flowers of the tree bloom every night in the darkness as they have been kissed by The Sun, producing a fragrance to express her love towards Surya Deva. However, as soon as the first rays of dawn touch the tree, the flowers wither as the girl remembers her pain and misery.

But her love, even if it was unrequited, still lives in every Parijat tree, hoping that one day The Sun might accept it.

A truly heartbreaking story and I wish I could find it sooner. 😭
But there's always a chance to revisit stories after some time. Maybe I will.
I hope you like this one and we'll meet under the next one! Take care! ❤️

- Poppy -

It's been quite some time when I could make something like this, so here's another one of the flower series and let's see what they mean as a symbol.

This flower can be found almost all over the world now in different colors, sizes, shapes. Therefore, it appears as a symbol in the cultural folklore of people globally. Nowadays it's mostly considered a weed, but back in the ancient times, it was cultivated for its medicinal and recreating properties.

+ Ancient Egypt: Poppies were found in Egyptian tombs dating back thousands of years. These flowers have been features in their jewelry and furniture. It was also used in funeral rituals as a symbol of RESURRECTION and ETERNAL LIFE.

+ Ancient Rome and Greece: They used poppies in their funeral rites, associating them with SLEEP, PEACE and REBIRTH. Still, in Greek mythology, the poppy was linked to Demeter, the goddess of harvest. The Greek gods believed to have given Demeter poppies to help her sleep because she was upset that her daughter, Persephone, had been abducted by Hades. Poppies were also found in the cave of Hypnos, the god of sleep, but it was also associated with Morpheus, the god of sleep and dreams. In the modern-day drug morphine is, in fact, derived from poppies and named after the Greek god, Morpheus.

+ Victorian Era: In the language of flowers, ascribed different meanings to the flower, most of which varied depending on color. The poppy flower was most commonly used to represent LOSS, EXTRAVAGANCE, and DEEP SLEEP.

+ "In Flanders Fields": The most renowned association of poppies with REMEMBRANCE and HONOR can be credited to the famous was poem, In Flanders Fields by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. Inspired by the sight of poppies growing atop the graves of fallen soldiers during WWI, Lieutenant Colonel McCrae wrote this poem, immortalizing the flower's significance. Wearing or displaying red poppies pays tribute to the memory of the bloodshed and SACRIFICE of those who lost their lives in war.

I hope you enjoyed this looong description, and I hope you like the drawing as well. 😊
Take care and see you under the next one! ❤️
