Etapa 5. Etapa Reina 98km y 2,980m. Dura con 5 días en las piernas. Hemos controlado desde el principio a lis más cercanos en la clasificación hasta a falta de 10km qué nos han llegado coronando la subida una pareja sub23 y logrado aventajarnos por 1:17. Posición 8va en el día de hoy y nos mantenemos 7mo en la general mixta con ventaja de 7:04. Mañana 87km con 2,550m. taken in Somerset West, Western Cape by @libbeysheldon

Etapa 3. Recortada de 90km y 2,600 a 78 y 2,450 metros de ascensión acumulada. Hoy con temperatura de 113° hemos podido ganar una posición a la 7ma y recortar al 6to lugar. Excelentes sensaciones. taken in Paarl, Western Cape by @libbeysheldon

Día de Crono. Salida cada 15 segundos y los que van 8vo han salido al frente de nosotros. Todo el día a goma. Solo adelantaban para atacarnos. A 6km nos han brincado y nos han sacado 14 segundos.

What a thrill to race through the always-challenging trails of the Frederick Watershed and Gambrill State Park. Over the years I've spent weeks sleeping out and cooking at the boys' camp, hiking the trails, swimming in the ponds, and of course riding. It made my heart sing to be able to race the @usacycling Mountainbike Marathon National Championships there last weekend. The course was just right, the locals came out and cheered, and the trails were in prime condition! Thanks to all for making it happen (and if rumors are true we get to do it again next year)!
