#mdwc26d19 Cat
I did not use a phone clip for this one.. can you tell!? I had an idea this morning and I've been thinking about it all day. Swipe for the drawing, lots of tails and my feline muse..Luna! I was on cat feeding duty for my friend @aisha_saphire earlier this month, and I took lots of photos because I knew cat was coming up in drawlloween!

#mdwc26d18 Giant!
Screens just aren't 𝘣𝘪𝘨 enough yet! Humans really need to hurry up evolving, they're all still so short..
The idea was a giant in a photobooth, if you swipe to see the progress you'll notice the last pose changed from her sitting to walking out. She'd had enough!

#mdwc26d16 histHORRORcal
I feel a bit bad using this as a 'horror' but it's definitely historical. I drew this last year, shortly after my visit to the Hunterian Museum.
Swipe for the reference photo, and some actual horror, in the form of old surgical instruments.

#mdwc26d12 Raven #mdwc26d13 Mirror
Not sure this came out how I'd pictured it, the Raven definitely took a turn! At least he stands up unlike my owl..
Swipe for some extra mirror photos, progress shots, and my first try at a raven head! Which, is better than the finished thing, like I say, he took a turn.

#mdwc26d11 Yokai
Always one of my favourite days!
I went for Kanibōzu. A giant crab that lives in temples and disguises himself as a priest. If you're unlucky enough to sit next to him, he'll ask you a riddle. If you get it wrong he'll reveal himself and eat you. So, no pressure!
Swipe to see a badly filmed video, and a wip shot.
I'm so behind on seeing everyones work, I'm going to have a proper catch up this afternoon.

#mdwc26d10 Jabberwocky
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!

Tried my hand at a Vorpal Sword. Perfect prompt to sneak in a rabbit (another yearly tradition). Swipe for flaming eyes, sword details, and gold!

#mdwc26d9 Frankenstein
Nothing new for today, so I thought I'd throw it back to 2024 when I did drawlloween in almost exclusively hands.. I always find this prompt difficult, but I was quite chuffed with this one!

#mdwc26d8 Haunted House
Oh, Doc..
Did I draw a million things yesterday that I hated. Yes. Did I wake up at 5:20 this morning with an idea, and decide to draw it immediately also yes. He has been very quickly sketched but I like it. I do try and get in a film reference every year too. (Also..yes, a day late..but I think I'll skip today)
Swipe to see a drawlloween from a few years ago.. it's what's waiting for him around that corner.

#mdwc26d7 Grave
If you don't mind a dead bird, swipe to see. Sometime last year I stumbled across this poor pigeon, the oak leaves and acorn were already there. I had to take a photo, it was such a perfect composition. I've been wanting to draw it ever since, and today felt like a great opportunity. I only wish I'd done it justice! I started it this morning before work and have just finished it. I'm not happy with it, but I am my own worst critic, and I also know that with more time I can do it better. So, I'll try again, but I'll post this and move on to tomorrow.

#mdwc26d6 Mushroom
Just a couple of sleepy fungi! Back to (static) pen for today. Swipe for a little video and swipe again for the inspiration! I immediately thought it looked like it was yawning, and that's how this ridiculous piece came to be! (I also took photos of myself yawning, to get the nose creases right.. 😆)
