'The Devils' by @literarysewer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

i said this was going to be a KS3 literature month because i had to read it for my job and then I lied 😂

i got into Joe Abercrombie's books in first year of uni, and then drifted away for many a year. now i am back and I am THRILLED to be.

'If We Were Villains' by M.L. Rio ⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

i have being going on and on about reading 'If We Were Villains' for the longest time, and when @siennafayereads mentioned she was planning on reading it soon, it felt like fate!

truthfully i think in the great IWWV/The Secret History debate i think i am an IWWV girlie... but only just 😂

'The Starving Saints' by @authorcstarling ⭐⭐⭐⭐

finally getting round to posting this - end of the school year has absolutely rushed me off my feet and while i finished this book a while ago i just haven't found time to gather my thoughts (or take cute pictures!)

🪻@dryadbookshop trip!🪻

i was DELIGHTED when @rachelgnixon agreed to come to @fanforfest with me this year, and we made a trip to Dryad Books' stall!

i traded a trinket for an adorable little blind recommendation scroll, and it gave me 'The Tainted Cup' by Robert Jackson Bennett. i don't usually mix my fantasy and my mystery, so it looks interesting!

rach picked up 'The Spellshop', a cosy romantasy which i also love, & then got influenced by the stallholders into buying 'Dreadful' as well which i found very funny!

'The Atlas Complex' by Olivie Blake ⭐⭐⭐⭐

i finished a series! a rare but satisfying occurrence!

the more i read Olivie Blake the more i want to read. she is such an interesting author, and writes about concepts and people that really fit my niche.

🏳️‍⚧️ pride recs to the end of the month🏳️‍🌈

low-key kinda gutted that I didn't get as many of these out as i wanted, but sometimes life heats up (literally and figuratively!) and bookstagram takes a back seat.

I'm also in a HUGE fiction reading slump right now. it's been nonfiction only in my life as far as the eye can read. i truly have no idea what's going to tip the scales back...
