I never did an intro when I started! So hi! These are just some lil snippets about me ✨

Also another fact about me: I have never been good with captions unless it was lyrics from the moody song I was obsessed with 😂 so please bare with whatever I end up writing I’m doing my best 🫣 by @librarywraith

Just a little Saturday shelfie moment since it’s been awhile! It’s the pride of my house, every time my eldest has friends over it’s the first thing that’s shown, “come see all my mom’s books!” 🥹 and stands there all smug like we’ve got a treasure trove in the house (I suppose we do 👀)

I can’t wait to add a new book to my ACOTAR shelf in 10 days!!!! What a time to be alive 😭

The Wretched Divine Review 😈⚔️🪽

TLDR: Overall I think this is a good book and I’m keen to see where the series goes!!

The things I liked the most 😈
🤍 Yuri & Vex
❤️ The world
🤍 The voice actors

The mid thoughts ⚔️
❤️ I saw a lot of the plot twists coming (though the first one at the start did shock me), it didn’t take away from the story as I assumed but didn’t know for sure until the reveals happened, and they were good plot twists so I was excited for the story to end up going in that direction!

🤍 The story is a bit slow in the middle and I struggled to want to pick up the book during that portion. There was also something about Auralie’s reluctantness to get close to Yuriel but was okay with exploring the bond to Severin that bothered me?? But that’s not because the story was bad and more of me being frustrated with her choices 😂 please see above that Yuri is my favorite, I am team Yuri and I will die on that hill 🫡

I know a lot of people weren’t impressed with the dialogue of the two MMCs but I didn’t mind it, it felt clear that both Auralie and Yuri were affected by the hot headed perverse vibes of Severin once they bonded to him and wouldn’t normally speak that way.

🪽All in all I enjoy the world and the characters and am excited to keep reading! Belladonna is one of my favorite series and so I’m really looking forward to what Adalyn does with this new world!

Time for another weekly reading stat post

I finished 2 books, halfway through another and started another 2! Considering my tbr this month is a mile long this is great (though two of these reads aren’t even in said list, I digress 😂)

Also used my cool new photoshop skills to remove some graffiti off this tree and a car in the background! I love that I learned something new and it’s coming in use again and again.

bookstagram • booksta uk • what i read in a week • weekly reading

Bloodgrove was so weird, and gory, haunted, disturbing, and despite all that still sort of sexy?? and ultimately hard to put down. Grimacing, what the fucks, oh god what?? Were my main reactions through out the book 😂 was the perfect October read that’s for certain!

Shardless was fun!! Amazing fantasy world, it’s slower paced so you’re getting to really know your characters but that doesn’t mean the action is missing because half of it is some intense battles! It deals with time magic so with how it ended I’m so interested to see where things go in book 2!

The Wretched Divine scared me since i saw many people DNFing, but thankfully I haven’t had that experience. That being said, I’m lacking a big drive to pick the book up, and I’m not sure what that is (other want to read books lingering in my periphery most likely but also life’s been busy and I haven’t had much time to sit and pick up a book, audiobooks have been a bit easier) I am however keen to know where this story goes cause it’s definitely not what I expected it to be!

I started these over the weekend so it didn’t seem to warrant individual pages! Tempest was a whim decision cause I needed something to listen to while I cross-stitch and it started off really good, I was locked in but I’m at 40% and it’s feeling a little slow, we’re going back and forth in time learning the past as we move through the present which is fun but I wish we got like 1 or 2 chapters in each timeline vs every other being a swap. Also the word tempest is in this…a lot 😂 and I wish they did a duet because the female narrator does the most nasally god awful voices for ALL the men, including the ones that are meant to be the MMCs 😮‍💨 we persever by @librarywraith

Just a wee spotlight for The Locked Library edition of The Emperors Enemy!

She’s STUNNING in orange and yellows and I love the depictions of Zora and Tarantula. My only wish was that the edges felt more cohesive to the warm tones of the cover but it is pretty in its own right! I’m so excited to buddy read with with one of my best pals on here @ahermitwhoreadsbooks

Have you read it yet? And if not what are you waiting for??? 👀

September Wrap Up!

First and foremost please behold my photoshopping skills!! I had a vision of drawing this but I tried a photo first and the lighting and concept all came together seamlessly and I learned some new PS skills 💃cause once again fuck AI!!!

*cough* ahem back to the point I did some good reading this month, reached 100 books read, got to read some long awaited sequels, I cried and laughed and got lost in fantasy so can’t complain about any of that!

When you scroll to the end and you see my absolutely insane tbr for October you will no doubt question my sanity but you see my husbands away for most the month of October and the last time he was gone I read 17 books in one month! So I’m dreaming big, and there’s so many books I need and want to get to for spooky season so I’m gonna try my best! I’ve got some buddy reads to help me along as well!!

How was September for you? And what spooky book are you looking forward to most next month??

I’m still sorta in shock I did this 🫪

I read 100 books!! This year has been full of hardcore READING since I decided to start this account and I am so thankful for it. Books have been my lifeline in more ways than one and I feel so lucky to be able to jump into all these characters lives and experience a multitude of worlds.

So I went through everything I’ve read this year and picked out my absolute favorites that keep lingering in my mind. I wholly recommend all of them to appear on your TBR if you haven’t read them yet!

What’s the most you’ve read in a year? I feel fairly certain this is the first time I’ve ever reached this number in such a short span of time 😅

Sorry for the non bookish post but I had to show off my maple leaf crochet project 🍁 trying to decorate for fall on a budget and I had this yarn and some stuffing I never used laying around and voila!! I’m hoping to make another one in orange but I’m trying to let my fragile wrists have a break to dampen any carpal tunnel efforts 😂

Do you do any crafts?

We’re all going to ignore that this posted without a caption or audio, right?? 😮‍💨 I accidentally double tapped and wham, sent off to the IG feed with nothing 😂

Anywho finally I got some book mail, The Wretched Divine is a highly anticipated read for me, and if I’m being honest I’m nervous 😬 but I think tonight I’m going to out Clockwork Prince aside and start up Wretched so I can make my own opinion on it!

The Ascended is BIG 🫪 I wasn’t expecting it but I’m so excited to get back into this universe!

What new release this autumn are you looking forward to most??
