Review:

I could write an essay about this book, about the importance of representation and the beautiful way the South American culture was portrayed in this story. As a history teacher, and as a Chilean I was incredibly excited about this story and it didn't disappointed one bit.

The whole ambiance was immaculate; I could close my eyes and perfectly imagine the places that Natalia so beautifully described. The pace was perfect, you turn a few pages and suddenly you're in the middle of an action movie ready to fight the bad guys.

The characters were so real, Santiago is my hot nerd I never knew I needed and Ali is a badass FMC ready to defend Santis at any point.

This book made me laugh, got me emotional and I never wanted it to end. Thank you so much, Natalia, @coloredpagesbt and @redtowerbooks for the incredible opportunity to read this book early.

The globally bestselling, slow burn, high-stakes romantasy series for fans of Sarah H. Parker, Jasmine Mas, and Kerri Maniscalco continues, as the epic conflict between Gods and Monsters unfolds to reveal new revelations, new alliances, and new enemies. But will a true victor finally rise from the rubble?

“You are supposed to protect the world. Not me.”
“You are my world.”

A KING IN EXILE
After a desperate battle, Nismera, the Goddess of War, now rules the realms as the last remnants of Samkiel’s powers spill across the sky. Utterly ruthless, Nismera will stop at nothing to hold on to her throne. Driven into hiding, Samkiel strives to heal his wounds, but he is more burdened than ever before. The Hand is dismantled, the realms are in turmoil, and the one person he can trust keeps him at arm’s length.

CAN A MONSTER BE HIS SAVIOR?
Dianna struggles beneath the weight of her lies and guilt. Desperate to keep Samkiel safe after almost losing him, she is willing to give up everything to protect him, even if that means sacrificing their relationship itself. But that’s not a risk Samkiel is willing to take.

After overcoming what she thought was her hardest battle, she soon learns she is at risk of losing everything.

The one true king is poised to return, but when the dust settles, who will truly rule?

Estoy muy entusiasmada y agradecida de ser parte del tour de @coloredpagesbt para promocionar esta historia maravillosa. Muchas gracias a Natalia, Red Tower Books y Colored Pages por el ARC.

With a grandfather’s dying words, Santiago learns that his bedtime stories weren’t myths. They were warnings.
Before he knows it, Santiago Rios is leaving Los Angeles for Lima, Peru. Armed with a mysterious map and hunted by ruthless tomb robbers, the quiet archaeologist is thrust into a brutal race across the Andes to unearth the lost tomb of the final Incan emperor.
His only weapon is Ali, a fierce, feline woman who knows far more than she’s letting on. The closer they grow, the more certain Santiago becomes…Ali is trouble. Just the kind of trouble he likes.
To fulfil his grandfather’s final wish, Santiago and Ali will solve ancient riddles, outwit deadly enemies, and honour a legacy straight out of antiquity. Because it’s not just their lives on the line—not by a long shot.

Review:

This book took me on an emotional ride! Harbinger is the type of book that makes you stay up late reading because it’s impossible to put down. The world and the magic system were developed perfectly. Geneva Lee did a beautiful job depicting a broken kingdome in the verge of chaos, with characters that were flawed and felt incredibly real.

Arden is a strong FMC, also a tad stubborn, but aware of her capabilities and what she is supposed to do. She is being targeted by the whole realm because of the mark that the Stars left upon her, and the only one willing to protect her is Bishop Marius. Bishop is the most grumpy, serious, and the most loyal MMC ever. I just know that he is going to be a fan favorite. The tension between the MCs was incredible, the slowest burn possible, but it was completely worth it.

The plot itself was so intriguing, there’s a lot of mystery going on, and it seems that the characters can’t catch a break. The twist at the end almost killed me, and that epilogue should be considered ILLEGAL!

Thank you so much, Geneva Lee and @entangled_publishing for the advanced copy. I cannot wait for book 2.

Review

This twist on the Frankenstein story was so good! The gothic setting and the elements of gore made this story perfect for the spooky season. I’m a big fan of Jeneane’s writing; her almost poetic way of describing the worlds she builds always keeps me hooked to the story.

Victoria is my favorite character in the whole book. She is a dark FMC with a thirst for learning everything, and especially learning how to be a doctor like her father. She is obsessed with the idea of resurrection, even though women from the 18th century were forbidden to study these topics. Victoria is a feminist and has to survive and sacrifice so much to achieve her creation that you can’t help but root for her.

Inno really surprised me. I thought that as an MMC, he would be a bit frustrated for being brought back to life, but this man is the definition of yearning and a bit of insanity. I’m obsessed with their story.

The ending was perfect, and the whole story connected perfectly. I was sad to finish this book. I could’ve read it forever. Thank you, Jeneane O’Riley and @read_bloom, for the gifted digital copy.
