when you told me what you believed my worth was i made damn sure i knew w| ever fiber of me that my worth flew over hillsides mountains + thru valleys
when you told me i was nothing, i became everything
when you told me i was a whore, i said only to you
when you told me you’d kill me if i spoke, i fucking SCREAMED
when you told me you’d take it ALL from me, i made MY ALL THAT MUCH BIGGER, in spite
when you told me my power was non existent , i wrestled every fucking demon to the ground
when you told me i’d be an open wound forever, my healing began.
when you told me i couldn’t, i mother fucking DID.
when you told me i’d be in prison the rest of my life, i have you back the key + walked out from the prison i had already been in

You will not stop me. my purpose is real, to stop the unstoppable, to defy what no one can. Do you see what you couldn’t stop? what you CANT stop? what i did do? what i will do? with all my worth. and with out you?

do you see? what you created in trying to fight me- oh i do and it’s a beautiful fucking sight. thank you for my scars, my mess, my love, my light and my fucking POWER- that is MINE. me in all my glory. it will never be yours. again.

another ponderment…

have you noticed that the second we don’t have something to do- we reach for something to do?

what is the first thing you reach for when you don’t have something to do?

a text message?
an email?
a project?
an employee capable of doing what they need to without you?
crossing off an item on the never ending to do list?

do you have to fill each moment?

or can you dance in the stillness of life in that very moment + let the moment unfold?

there will always be something “to do” especially if we look for it…

can you breath in that moment and watch it + not chase what’s next, what’s undone?

when did you become so good at knowing what everyone else needs…

that you stopped noticing what you need?

you know when they’re overwhelmed.

you know what needs to get done.

you know how to make things work.

you know how to show up.

but when someone asks you what you need…

what happens?

can you answer without thinking about everyone else first?

can you answer without thinking about what you need to do?

‘the accomplished, i am.’

i loved that answer.

+ then i wondered…

if the accomplishments disappeared,

would you still know who you are?

not because accomplishment is wrong.

not because you need to let go of ambition.

but because there’s a difference between

knowing what you’ve accomplished…

+ knowing yourself…

“i can’t honestly even remember a time when i wasn’t needed.”

and i pondered that…

what happens when being needed becomes part of your identity?

part of who you think you are?

because it’s all you’ve known.

when someone needs you, you know exactly who to be.

the strong one.

the capable one.

the one who figures it out.

the one who shows up.

but who are you… truly.
