“I used to think that a village was something to find. Through L2L, I learned that a village is something you build.”

These words from a former Licensed to Learn tutor at this year’s annual golf tournament say it all.

L2L is one of few Canadian programs supported through the tournament — and moments like this are exactly why that support matters.

Thank you to every tutor and student who shows up and builds that village, one moment at a time. 💙 by @licensed2learn

L2L’s Secondary Leadership Conference 2026 brought together 85 student leaders and staff for a full day of leadership, growth, and community.

Watching our students show up, reflect, and lead throughout the day was truly something special.

Thank you to everyone who made it happen — this is what L2L is all about. 🙌💙 by @licensed2learn

On International Day of Education, we celebrate students like Debbie, a Grade 8 L2L tutor who uses her love for science and art to support her classmates in Language and Reading. 🎨🧪📚

Through L2L, she’s discovered more than tutoring skills—she’s learned empathy, emotional awareness, and how small acts of support can make a big difference. The program has become a space for her to grow, form meaningful connections, and help others smile.

🌟 Leaders in the making! 🌟

Our L2L student leadership conference brought incredible young leaders from across our partner schools together — all united by one mission: to uplift their peers and strengthen their communities.

From hands-on challenges to real-world problem-solving, students explored what it means to lead with purpose — identifying issues in their schools and communities, building support, and championing meaningful change.

We wrapped up with a powerhouse panel featuring leaders from Zurich Insurance, Toronto Community Housing, and the Mozilla Foundation, who shared what leadership looks like in today’s world and beyond. 💡✨

Here’s to the next generation of changemakers. 🤝 by @licensed2learn

Thank you @telus @friendlyfuturefoundation for empowering the next generation of learners and leaders 💚

Through L2L, he developed skills that extend far beyond the classroom—such as discipline, focus, and perseverance. The highlight of his journey? Acing a math test after putting in the hard work. 💪📚

Pharaoh says L2L has helped him understand math better and boosted his confidence, proving that success in one area can inspire growth in all aspects of life. by @licensed2learn

We asked our Student Tutors to describe the L2L Program in just one word — and here’s what they shared!

It’s inspiring to see the joy and sense of accomplishment our tutors gain through the program. We’re excited for all that’s ahead this year! 💙 by @licensed2learn
