There's a heatwave, it's over 30C every day, and my house is dust and chaos as we put in two bathrooms, create a butlers pantry and generally shake everything up.

Watched the Champions League Final last night in the Marine Bar, surrounded by PSG fans. It wasn't our night, but on we go. Still incredibly proud of all we have achieved this season. Love this squad with my whole heart. To all my friends going to the parade today, do an extra cheer for me. My friend Suzanne took these pictures at the end, because I was VERKLEMPT. We were going to be at the plant fair at Abbaye de Fontfroide all day so before we left, I put a leg of lamb with white beans on to cook so we'd have something delicious to eat when we got home. We needed to fortify ourselves for all of the planting.

Went to Mèze market this morning and bought all the spring vegetables - broad beans, tiny courgettes, asparagus. Came home and turned them into this broth with cod and saffron for lunch. So happy with this whole situation, honestly.

I made some brown butter, walnut and honey madeleines, did a squeaky-fresh market haul, and had a bathtub delivered at the crack of dawn through the upstairs window. It's all going on.
