Hi, I’m Lieu 👋

For those of you who haven’t met me yet….this is a little re-introduction 🤍

I’ve been a stay at home mum for 18 years… and now I’ve decided it’s time to go to work, building an online travel business ✈️

I’m kind of doing life backwards. 😂
Most people work their whole lives and wait until retirement to enjoy freedom.
I’m choosing freedom now. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Working on my own terms.

My why?
I realised my children have never seen me go to work or earn an income because I left my job as cabin crew to raise my babies.
They’ve only ever known me as mum,
the one up in the night when they’re sick,
there for every single school run,
there for every meal, for every milestone,
the school pick ups when they feel unwell,
the lifts to playdates, parties and all those little moments that matter most.

I wouldn’t change any of it. I’m so grateful I had the choice to be there for everything ❤️🙏🏼
But now, I want to do something for me.

I want to show my kids that it’s never too late, you can start again at any age, learning new skills is powerful
and you can build something you truly enjoy.

Going back to work shouldn’t mean I have to miss out on future moments, instead this business has created even more special memories.

This is my next chapter. 🤞🏼

A little bit about what I do ⬆️

I’m currently building this business around my commitments and family life. 🥰

My kids go to school, sixth form and University quite far away, so I needed something flexible enough that if they needed me, I could literally drop everything and drive for hours to be there for them. ❤️

I also didn’t want to give up the school holidays or have to ask a boss for time off to spend with my kids. That flexibility was key for me.

I travel quite a bit anyway, so being able to work the business from my phone whilst I’m away is such a bonus!

I’m 48 and if you’d told me a few years ago I’d be flying through the air on a giant swing in Thailand, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. 😂🌴

Life doesn’t stop because you get older. If anything, it’s made me realise I want to keep saying “yes” to new experiences, even if they’re a little outside my comfort zone.

Karpe Diem Boutique Villa, Koh Samui…what a place. 😍

The villa is incredibly spacious, beautifully designed and has everything you could possibly need. Every room feels stylish and comfortable, with plenty of space for everyone to relax, while the panoramic views over the ocean are simply spectacular. ❤️ My family and I each have our own wing!!

Our meals are prepared and cooked by chef Man and served by Ting, who is also the house keeper.

I originally joined this business to travel smarter and see more of the world.

Then, as the kids got older and started spending more time away at uni, sixth form and school, my “why” changed. It became about finding purpose again and having something that was just for me.

And now, after being away on this Travel Team retreat in Marbella, my “why” has changed once again. This time, it’s about the community. The friendships, the support, the laughs, the memories… being surrounded by such genuine, inspiring people.

This business just keeps giving in ways I never expected! ❤️

Our journey started with an 11 hour direct flight from London Heathrow to Bangkok with Thai Airways. I honestly think I spent most of the flight eating! I managed to squeeze in a couple of hours sleep before we landed.

We stayed at the beautiful 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok, where we were warmly welcomed by our butler, Genji. Even though we arrived early in the morning, we were lucky enough to check straight into our suites. After a quick coffee in the private lounge, we were shown to our stunning 2 X two bedroom Rattanakosin Suites.

With a few hours to spare before our canal boat tour, we headed up to the rooftop pool for a swim and a little sunbathing, such a lovely way to start our time in Bangkok.

That evening, we enjoyed happy hour drinks before dining at Nimitr Restaurant. The setting was beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious, the perfect way to end our first day in Thailand. ❤️ taken in Bangkok by @lieurabson

Burnt out mums, I see you!! 😂

I wouldn’t say I started this business because I was burnt out as such, more that I wanted something for me.

Being a SAHM for so long left me feeling like I’d lost a part of myself, and I wanted that back. So for me, this has given me purpose and a community I never knew I needed.

I’m loving the journey it’s taking me on. My confidence is growing. I’m learning from the best, I’m helping others, catching up with old friends and making lots of new friends. 🥰🫶

I’ll be honest, I jumped into this without fully knowing what it was all about….so me!!! 🤣 But now I do… and I genuinely can’t believe the power of it.

Real people earning extra income, building their own businesses in pockets of spare time, and creating a legacy and something they can pass down to their families. 🤩👏🏻🥳
