recording Two Truths alongside gabe @yung.bruegel was one of most grounding and precious creative times >>> precious to hold space and find home in northern CA with gentle, close listening, playful, curious kindred spirit who just happens to live v far away in arcata >>> a gift treasure to connect and find each other and make art togetherrrr

the golden/ burnt orange warmth and energy of the record found its way in during our time recording at Gabe's >>> long days nights recording, exchanging tunes, walking in the redwoods, singing joni with Stevie too, solstice swims, giggling, supermarket burritos and sharin dreams schemes plans and big and small feelings driving along the highway home at night. precioussss

>>> @yung.bruegel also just released his first lil song parcel into the world 'Tinderbox', it's perfect and precious do go listen :)

thank u gabe, still buoyed by this time and your endlessly inspiring and curious Nrg everyday. taken in Arcata, California by @lieverd____

'Two Truths' is out everywhere today >>> sounds mostly about the friction found between two people / two truths.
.
these songs seem to grow bigger and bigger to me every day, recontextualising and revealing truths I didn't know were there when first written. music can be hard >>> but music is also magic and music can help distill this all >>>
.
Making this as real as possible tonight @theoldbar
launching w/ full dream band and @sandyshoe
/ magic Polje nieuk. Come on down and hold space with us, feels big x

>>> "epiphany at 23" ~ I too had an epiphany at 23 while listening to 23 by @sandyshoe... and every piece of sandy's writing since has flawed me over and over again >>> a true visionary, a delicate and effortless sculptor of worlds and words I just want to live in forever ~~~ oh, and her voiceeee... :') sandy will be up before hvb band on Thur night <3 don't miss ittt ✨🕸️✨

>>> SANDY HSU is a multidisciplinary artist and singer-songwriter whose practice explores themes of the divine feminine, grief, desire, beauty, cultural ties and her diasporic identity. A collection of vivid storytelling entwined with expansive sonic landscapes, Sandy’s music has the ability to settle itself in the chambers of a listeners heart. taken in The Old Bar by @lieverd____

>>> POLJE NIEUK released one of my favourite records of the year (up on bandcamp). this music is unlike anything else I've ever heard, or felt before >>> cannot believe they will be opening the launch with an improvised set (!)

>>> POLJE NIEUK is the sound-based collaborative project of dylan marelić and grzegorz dalmata. Their music practice is process-driven, combining DIY electro-acoustics, field recordings, synthesizers, and speech elements. Polje Nieuk works with these elements like building materials to form drones, rhythms, and textures that conjure imagery of hypothetical spaces shrouded in an ambient fog. taken in The Old Bar by @lieverd____
