Took a trip over to my favorite spot in New Hampshire today! @skeletone_recs was the first real record store I had ever gone to and man did it really set the bar high.

This store might single-handedly be the most organized record store you’ll ever see, with everything from high quality stereo equipment to memorabilia you could get lost in here for hours..

Skeletone always has an amazing selection you’ll see in very few places and is covered from head to toe with Kiss records, memorabilia and much much more.

If you’re ever in the neighborhood swing by and prepare to spend an entire day here, it’s 200% worth the trip and that’s a promise.

Been having a lot of fun going around and showing different record stores, I hope to do many more of these! Once again thank you to the amazing @b1b1andrade for helping me out, take care!🖤

Figured it was time to stop spamming my stories and have some fun with this, I’ll be sharing music I love and discover here on this page while I learn about vinyl records and I welcome you to join me. :)

I figured why not start with the main man @fredagainagainagainagainagain who’s been absolutely murdering the electronic music scene lately, seeing him last October at the Roadrunner in Boston was an incredibly moving experience to say the least and I’m so excited to catch another set in the future. Clara especially has been a really pivotal song for me in the past year while so many things are changing quick, I’m very happy to have stumbled across that boiler room set. 🖤

Happy New Year everyone!

Little bit of a different post today, I would say 90% of you have no idea what I even look like so I figured I’d put a face to the name and tell you a little about myself and make a little list of my favorite records I gathered over 2023!

My name is Jay and I’m from a little state in the northeast United States called New Hampshire. I love to go to music festivals/concerts with some of my closest friends, collecting records(of course), playing video games on my PC, hanging out at the beach and occasionally surfing.

I’ve lived at the beach my entire life and at this point I couldn’t see myself not living by a beach at any point in my life. I started collecting records around 2019 and didn’t quite fully dive in until 2021, a bulk of my records are post hardcore/pop punk but I have just about every genre you could think of.

This is the first photo I’ve actually ever posted on this page and admittedly I’m awful at arranging records.. not sure how you guys do it😅

New World Depression

I’ve been holding onto this one for a while now but @suicideboys are playing close to home tonight so instead of going we’re spinning this latest album by the boys.

I’ve been listening to these guys since about early 2016 which is kind of crazy to think about, they’ve come a long way since then and I genuinely think this is their most refined album.

New World Depression has some excellent songs on it with one sampling one of my favorite Lil Wayne songs and it has no business going that hard, I’m excited to see where these guys go from here.

I have to mention this is only one of two coke bottle variants I own! I absolutely love the coke bottle variants they just look so good and I’m happy they released this variant is by far my favorite.

They’re Only Chasing Safety
Underoath

It’s been a long time coming with this record, after debating on dropping a ridiculous amount on an original pressing @underoathband announced a limited edition version!

The cover and variant of this record is so incredible and looks amazing I couldn’t be more stoked, not only that but I believe this is one of the best albums of this era and Underoath delivered with this no skip behemoth of an album.

I’m trying to get around to posting more frequently again but the motivation is lacking a bit admittedly.. but albums like this get me so excited and remind me why I started this in the first place. I hope you enjoyed the little throwback of an intro, it’s been a while! Take care everyone 🤍

Knocked Loose
You Won’t Go Before You’re Supposed To

I’ve been on the hunt for this record for a while now and I can thankfully say it’s finally in my hands!

Huge shoutout to @bedell.nathan for hookin me up with this record straight from their tour with @slipknot and @knockedloosehc

I’ve been a fan of this album since it dropped and in my opinion it’s the hardcore album of the year no doubt. I’m glad they’re finally getting some recognition I think this band as a whole is so talented.

Fred Again.. - Actual Life 2

With the addition of AL2 I’ve finally completed the trifecta of @fredagainagainagainagainagain studio albums, while there are still many more of Fred’s work out there on vinyl I’ve yet to find I’m so excited to finish the official studio stuff.

With the announcement of Fred’s upcoming 4th studio album I figured what a better time than now to share AL2! I can’t convey my excitement for this new album after listening to his recent rooftop set on YouTube.

Front to back AL2 is incredible just like the previous and the latest AL records, I think AL2 is a lot more loving and upbeat which is probably why it gravitates towards me a little more.

RuneScape The Original Soundtrack

What an overload of nostalgia this record creates.. This soundtrack and game has played such an important role in my childhood and at this point my life.

I’ve played RS since I was 9 years old and at this point I’ve been playing the same account for over 18 years which is absolutely insane to think about..

I know there’s some controversy with the original composer of this game but I’d like to focus on just the game itself, I don’t support or condone any of the allegations..

That being said I’m so grateful to have grown up with this masterpiece of a game and I can’t thank my good friend @indiegameluvr enough for this gift. Go give him a follow! He gives pretty comprehensive reviews on upcoming indie games and deserves some love!

David Kushner
Footprints I Found

This is another special one for ya today..
Frequently with artists that are shown to me by friends and loved ones I tend to value more than someone I discovered on my own.

Not sure if that makes much sense but I associate memories and emotions with way more passion than I would normally, especially in this case with the unbelievably talented @david.kushner

I was introduced to his music by my lovely girlfriend and was immediately a fan of his work.. we’ve shared some pretty amazing memories with his music all leading up to seeing him live at Bonnaroo back in June.

He’s stepped up his game big time since this EP and has only gotten bigger and better, if you get a chance to see him live do yourself a favor and just go.. he has an incredible voice.

I was blown away at not only his young age but the come up he’s had, going from a kid that just wanted to sing and had no lessons to absolutely blowing up on TikTok and now touring the world I have to say it’s pretty incredible.

Say what you will about how TikTok has changed music for the better or worse but on occasion the right person gets that exposure.. and in this case it was an absolute win.

I apologize for the inactivity as I’ve just been in kind of a funk/writers block lately, the accumulation of records has slowed down significantly as I try to prioritize some things in my life. That being said I appreciate all of you and will never truly give this up as it’s a major part of my life now, all I ask is please be patient and love yourself and one another. Take care 🤍

Barry Can’t Swim
When Will We Land?

I’ve wanted this record since its release but just couldn’t justify pulling the trigger at the time, I wish I had sooner though as this album by @barrycantswim is incredible.

I thoroughly believe Barry is one of those artists that is destined to blow up, every live performance I’ve seen of him online the crowds just keep getting bigger and bigger.. especially lately after his set at Glastonbury

I had initially heard of Barry after seeing someone recommend him on Reddit with a bunch of love and positive responses so of course I had to check him out now I’m wishing I did sooner.

Hopefully he makes his way over to my neck of the woods in the near future I’d love to catch one of his shows live, until then I’ll be spinnin this!

Fred Again..
Actual Life

What started as samples of voice memos, social media clips and other various music samples @fredagainagainagainagainagain masterfully recorded and produced what is in my opinion one of the most pivotal electronic records of the 2020’s called Actual Life.

I’ve told this story before on this page but back in October of 2022 I was fortunate enough to see Fred for the first time at the Roadrunner in Boston, MA.

At the time his boiler room set just dropped on YouTube and was gaining traction like crazy and I had mentioned to my friends this might be the only time we’ll ever see him because his blowup is inevitable.

His show was on a random Tuesday and I had just started a new job that week but we sent it over to the show anyways and to say I had a life changing experience isn’t even giving it justice.

Fast forward to today and I had the pleasure of driving down to Manchester, Tennessee to Bonnaroo with my amazing girlfriend to witness Fred headline in front of 80,000+ fans.

I’m so appreciative for artists like Fred that creates records that invokes pure emotion and the pure love for music, it’s strikingly organic and nothing short of magical to see this man perform live.

This was a long drawn out one today but it’s hard to hold back when talking about one of my favorite artists of all time, I’ve been lucky enough to experience some beautiful memories thanks to his music and I’m forever grateful.

Zach Bryan
DeAnn

The debut album DeAnn was recorded by Zach Bryan in an Airbnb in Florida and is pretty underrated in my opinion considering where it was recorded and the circumstances..

Reading about the backstory to this album Zach had been stationed in Jacksonville while serving for the US Navy and had put mattresses around the walls for better acoustics and honestly this album definitely gives that raw unfiltered feeling and it’s noticeable in the best way possible.

This album is a beautiful tribute to his late mother and I’m sure she’s incredibly proud of the quality of work that went into this amazing debut album.

It’s been a minute since my last post as life has been pretty busy lately but I’ll come around to posting more frequently soon! Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July and take care of each other out there.🖤
