I wondered how these plains kids would adjust to Alaska… and here they are. 🥹

Making friends, exploring, and finding their own little adventures. Watching the girls settle in has been one of my favorite parts of this move.

There’s so much we can’t control. But we can keep making room for moments that remind us how much life there is to love. This was one of them. 💜🏔️

We moved to Alaska, and now places like this are a weekend road trip. 🥹

A rainforest… in Alaska? 🌿

Valdez was waterfalls, misty mountains, beautiful boardwalks, and SEA LIONS. 🦭

Would you add Valdez to your Alaska list?

The bears can have the woods. I’m keeping the ice cream. 😂🐻🍦

Tried the Dough Bear flavor from Ice Cream for Bears, and it’s SO good.

Have you tried it?

Came across this gem again from our drive through Canada on the way to Alaska. Something about this rainbow felt like a good sign. 🌈 by @life.with.ally

My husband and two of my daughters are proudly Cherokee, and I’m so proud of who they are and where they come from. 🪶

Today, and every day, we celebrate Indigenous peoples - their cultures, stories, strength, and the generations carrying their traditions forward.

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

My favorite place to eat in Anchorage? Gumbo House.

Sharing the spots we’re loving as we settle into Alaska - and this one deserves a place on the list. Already thinking about my next visit! 😂

Have you been? Tell me your go-to order!

Moved from Oklahoma to Alaska and now every door comes with a complimentary bear check. 😂🐻

Even the trash can. I’m taking no chances.

Alaskans… do you ever stop checking? 👀
