.. Incredible how a bunch of concept art students came to DRAWING BALLERINA this week and captured the ballerina when dancing. These super quick sketches were made by @callum.t.art who used photographic memory and his knowledge of the human figure to capture some movements of the movements that ballerina @__asp__m.t did at the start of the class. Well done everyone who came for such a challenge.Next Tuesday :D R A W I N G . B A L L E T ** with Mei Takahashi All welcome to capture the dynamic poses that ballerina @__asp__m.t will be performing, with her tutu and pointed shoes this Tuesday.Mei has trained as a ballet dancer in Japan, Russia and in the UK, and now works as freelance.For the session we’ll provide materials such as pencils, charcoals and pastels but we recommend people to come with watercolours or inks and work with brushes or anything to make marks with these liquid mediums. Think of little branches or feathers. Inks and watercolours help sketching the human figure fast for the quick poses. They are very satisfying to work with and your results might be surprisingly fantastic. An idea for those willing get more experimental and acquire new techniques in their tool box. We have some watercolours and lots of brushes, so if you;d like to try before buying, ask us.The session costs £17, £15 concessions, and students £14. S U P E R . H A P P YSee how people - who comes to these DRAWING MUSIC series - start capturing the rhythm of the performers with new marks is really satisfying. Well done @4lpacamybags and all who came for the challenge. This drawing in particular really shows the beginning of artwork that shows that the model is alive with movement and rhythm and not just an object. James, you are becoming a pro !
