Your body is truly a temple. Yet why did no one teach us this….?

No one taught you to how to listen to your internal compass and rhythm that is your god given gift in this body.
.
To understand your unique cycle, your unique body, your unique cells and DNA.
.
When you begin to unravel from the patriarchal lens of suppression of our feminine nature, and piece by piece you come back to the rhythms of it, listening to the messages your womb is giving you.

Because she is….

🌿 That afternoon slump you get….

🌿 That irritability you feel

🌿 That anger that builds up

🌿 That pre menstrual tension and anxiety

🌿 That exhaustion that only shifts with caffeine

🌿 That breast tenderness every cycle

🌿 That pain that causes you to need to pop a painkiller or stay in bed

Honestly ALL of it is language. Speaking directly from your body, your womb.

Thing is we haven’t been taught how to listen.

🩸Maybe it’s grief you haven’t felt

🩸Maybe its how you push through the days

🩸Maybe it’s how little true nourishment you have

🩸Maybe it’s having no boundaries for yourself

🩸Maybe it’s lack of self touch and honouring

🩸Maybe it’s a mineral deficiency

🩸Maybe it’s ancestral pain passed down

If you’re ready to listen and something within you is called to read all of this…maybe just maybe your womb is guiding you back to nature, to truly live a life as you were designed and created to do so.

Since becoming a mother the more I’ve realised the importance of connecting to our bodies. Honouring each season and being able to ask for support when I need it🩷🌙

The power of surrounding yourself with other women who also walk the same path can work its own magic and since I began sharing more on here I’ve connected with so many of you beautiful souls, which I’m very grateful for ✨

When Dad died after the most intense months of being in the unknown + fighting so hard to save him... Something in me also died too.

The part of me that had for so long looked for someone to save her, to hold her, to reassure her, which often times I wanted from my Dad.... Suddenly that was no longer an option.

Plunged into the absolute abyss of darkness, and yet feeling too that there was still light. And that I could find it despite being in the midst of thee deepest pain.

I realised a part of me that had always been there. A part that was holding me all along. And the part that had been the over giver, the self abandoner, the people pleaser suddenly fell away I had no energy to do it anymore.

All that now mattered was honouring my heart, and my dad. Feeling all the way through this. And then Tinksy, who felt like a soul child to me... Cracking open my heart even deeper.

I realised that actually there's a power within I just wasn't aware of before.

A power that is found in love. In grief.

I feel so grateful for this, to have experienced it all, because without it I couldn't know now what I know and feel so comfortable and safe within myself that no matter what I will always be okay.

Feeling proud and in awe of what we have to transition through on this journey of life.

Whatever we do not express will eventually either cause our bodies to express symptoms of dis-ease or discomfort or begin to shut down parts of us and lead to feelings of depression, disconnection, lack, and other feelings that are lackluster.
.
Allowing the body, or rather parts of us to express has a direct impact on how we feel and allows out stored emotions, expressions and over time assists in bringing energy, vitality and life force back into alignment.
.
For years I loved to sing but I carried a belief that I wasn't a good singer, and so I shut it down.
.
When I began connecting to my womb, I began to sing. Whenever I am have been or am grieving I sing, I find the process cathartic.
.
There's a direct connection from Womb to Heart known as the Bao Mai channel/line in TCM which represents the Hearts Qi, Blood + Spirit and the reproductive system. TCM acknowledges how emotional distress is traditionally understood to be capable of affecting this relationship and in turn, menstrual function.
.
In ancient wisdom there are twin spirals that connect our energy centres. Again the Heart-Womb Sacred Marriage is one, when these are linked together in sacred marriage they create a gateway into infinity within the body. The Hopi tradition also speaks of the womb chakra, resting under the navel, as the MOST IMPORTANT energy centre in the body. They describe it as the "throne of the creator".

Men and Women both have a powerful womb chakra - the foundation of our being, and the essence of our primal creativity, known also as the hara.
.
There is also the Solar/Lunar (Throat + Yoni/lingam) twins, and Root/Crown twins.
Anatomically the throat and yoni/lingam represent the sacred twins of the upper world and lower world birthing passageways, leading to the powerful creative centers of the heart and womb.
.
Words and songs are birthed through the passageway of the throat. The yoni is often cyptically referred to as the nether mouth. In ancient Egypt the female body was considered to have two mouths or two birthing centres. The upper masculine lips and mouth of the face, and the lower feminine lips and mouth of the yoni.

You don't have to hide your pain.
I'm so done with living in a society where hardly any one feels comfortable or honours tears as truly sacred.

If you're like me and you are sensitive, open, deeply feeling, empathetic, grieving... You don't have to hide it.

People will feel uncomfortable YES. People will tell you to move on, to get on with life, they'll even get super uncomfortable showing up for you ~ because they may not know how to.

Your only priority is to allow the emotions out, and to allow it impact/affect/trigger others if it does.

Your pain, your emotional capacity isn't meant to be hidden. It's your gift. It is my gift.

In a world, culture or society that taught you to diminish, hide or suppress it.... Let it be seen. Let it out.

It's the most palpable feeling in the whole world, stepping into his van... Where his scent lingers in the air. His presence still everywhere, in everything he made with his bare hands... All the wood work, the inside of his home not finished but perfectly divine.

Last cycle I spent a week at my sister's alone, immersing myself in the space he lived for so long, connecting with the things his hands once touched and breathed art through them.

Feeling the magnitude of life, love and loss.

There's something about wearing his clothes that allow me to feel held by him and closer to him. And looking through his belongings, touching his brushes, his books, and sitting in the exact places he used to. 🥹🙏

Each cycle another layer of the deepest love.

The journey of awakening & consciousness often begins within relationships.

Because every wound, scar and story will once again become visible within the conflicts, the emotions, the pain that manifests once again in relationship to one another.

Whether we unconsciously or consciously choose each other this is true.

The difference is when we are conscious of what is coming up (the pain body), the past trauma, the wounding, and when we can honestly see the other person through eyes of love and not conviction we can heal... Together.

But my gosh is it a journey. Or has it been, for us.

And yet I am forever humbled and grateful to this man for our path.

We said it 9 years ago that the stars brought us together. 'It was written in the stars' we used to say, and back then we didn't really understand what that truly meant.

We've both walked through fire together, and even in the murkiest waters... Even in our deepest wounding... In the times when our trauma bled so much into the relationship and we lost our way together... We have never given up on each other.

We spoken about endings, we consciously talked about what we both need and desire in a union, and even when it's got to the point of almost an ending I have still felt that no matter what happens we truly will hold each other through it.

Because the bond is deep, feels anciently deep. At times it could've been so much easier to walk away.

And yet we don't... We continually choose each other all over again.

Nothing will create change faster than deciding something HAS TO CHANGE. And creating the environment for it too.

Sometimes that means getting really honest and really clear about what you actually want and what You're not willing to accept, settle for or compromise on.

Where are you allowing yourself to only receive small amounts of JOY, LOVE, PEACE, CREATIVITY, PASSION, ROMANCE, NOURISHMENT, EXPERIENCES that light you up ..?

For me this has been a time of great reflection and getting clarity. It all began with spending a week alone during my last bleed and really seeing where change had to happen.

If you know something needs to change.... Make it happen.

It won't feel comfortable, because we like to remain where it feels familiar and safe. We like to stay in the known. We also like to stay hidden sometimes and just where we think others will accept us or see us in a certain light.

But often times we really have to break outside that box.

What are you willing to let go of to have what you truly desire...?

Where are you not showing up for yourself but expecting others to?

Where are you hiding parts of yourself for fear of rejection or judgement?

Where are you waiting for things to change without grabbing the bull by the horns and making it so....?

Seeing this come to life was a dream.... Planning this event with my sister, having a vision and wanting it to really be a true reflection of the bond and love sisters share 🌹

We've been through one hell of a year together and it's only made us stronger and more connected.

Honestly I feel blown away by the photography that was captured on this event and I can definitely say it's started another creativity surge of "What can we do next...?"

Any ideas you can think of please do share.

I know it's rare to get sisters in the same industry modelling together and sharing their unique bond. 🥹

As the big big sister, I am feeling quite emotional to say the least.

I also have my youngest sister too whom I have been shooting with also and creating events and there's more in the planning for us all.

Truly truly grateful for a massive shift.... 💫

It felt like forever I was in the dark. 🖤

Alone and not knowing when I'd be out.

Meeting myself over and over and over again.

Feeling this was it. This was me now.

Then, feeling called to spend time in solitude, a week listening to my heart and body changed everything.

So much has moved within me. And I don't feel stuck there anymore.

I actually do feel reborn. I feel alive with excitement, joy and purpose. And whilst I don't exactly know where this page or anything is going I feel ALIVE and content with that.

There's a New found peace within me. 🕊️

I don't need to know exactly what caused the shift, but I am grateful for it all.

If I hadn't known the darkness so deeply I wouldn't appreciate the light so fully.

This is a reminder that no seasons last forever, and if you find yourself in a dark space, know that it will pass. It will be hard going through it, but there's medicine for you there.

You are being refined, stripped, humbled, held, guided, and ultimately reborn.

That process takes time and when it's done you will know 🦋
