As someone whose literal job is to help market, grow, and support small businesses, it makes me really happy to see my kids love and support them too.

These little shops make their childhood feel magical.
Today, Jack walked into @baybreak_fairhope with his life savings in a Ziploc bag instead of asking me to order something on Amazon. He browsed the merchandise, chatted with the owner, and felt at home enough to ask her for a future job. ☺️ Which of course she agreed to!

That’s the thing about small businesses. They don’t just sell you something and send you on your way. They remember your kids. They remember your stories. They create these little moments of connection that become part of your family’s life in a way a big box store or a checkout button never could.

I love that when we go to @mrgenesbeans, we see photos of friends and family all over the bulletin board, even my niece on her wedding day, where they served Fairhope Floats.

I love that when we stop by Fisherman’s Discount for bait, there’s a framed photo of my son and the prized bluefish he caught a few summers ago using a rig the owner gave him. He told us to bring back a picture of whatever he caught, and we did!

Don’t get me wrong, I love a quick Amazon delivery too. But while my feed is flooded with Prime Day deals, here’s your little reminder to save a click and step into a local business this summer.

Buy the birthday gift.
Grab the coffee.
Treat yourself to a new dress.
Book the dinner reservation.
Pick up the bait.
Talk to the owners.

🎃✨ Happy Halloween!
Last Saturday was another magical day in @cityoffairhope. Downtown Trick or Treat is one of those special traditions that reminds me why I love this town so much. My friends at the @fairhopepd always say it’s their favorite citywide event, even more than Mardi Gras or the Lighting of the Trees, and it might be mine too.
I’m so grateful to play a small part in helping bring events like this to life. There’s truly no place like Fairhope. 💜🧡

Off to the Races 🐎💐🎟️

When the Downtown Fairhope Business Association and the City of Fairhope team came to us with a Derby theme for this spring’s Downtown Girls Night Out, we were off to the races designing a fun event experience! From a vibrant social media campaign to limited-edition tees, custom swag bags, and posters around town—every piece worked together to bring Girls Night Out to life. 💖

This is such a special event for our small town, and one I’ve loved working on since 2018. The event sold out in less than 48 hours and brought hundreds of fabulous women downtown to shop, sip, and celebrate. It’s always a blast—but more importantly, it’s a big win for our local businesses.

POV @southernlivingmag comes to #Fairhope. 🤗

🤍 I was invited to attend the @southernlivingmag annual Home Summit conference earlier this month, and the experience is still blowing me away. Rubbing elbows with @erinapier and chatting with @sidmemphis was amazing. And seeing my friends @kategreerphoto @itsmattgates @7studiosroyalstreet shine at what they do best was icing on the cake! I can’t wait to take everything I learned to help elevate my clients in the home and interior design industry. Thank you, @boonedl, for sharing a glimpse of your life at #SouthernLiving with me. While most of the country is making romantic dinner reservations and hanging up pink hearts, the Gulf Coast is skipping over Valentine's Day to prepare for the boom boom. 💜💚💛 Creating these new pole banners for the @cityoffairhope has me counting down the days until we get to jam in the streets with @blow_house, catch some beads, and eat our weight in moonpies.
