THE MOST LUXURIOUS TRAIN IN THE WORLD | VICTORIA FALLS TO PRETORIA ON ROVOS RAIL [Save for travel inspo]

For my 26th birthday I went on the most memorable journey in my lifetime - a 4-night trip from Victoria Falls to Pretoria onboard Rovos Rail, the most luxurious train ride🥰 Rovos is proudly South African and I’m still absolutely amazed by the fact that we have such an incredible luxurious experience right on our doorstep! 🚂

Birth Vlog with my second born | 0cm to 9cm dialated in less than 4 hours🩵

My second natural birth without an epidural and in a third of the time of my last labour🫣 The intensity nearly knocked me out as you can tell at 0:44🥲

With my first, my water broke at 5pm and baby was born at 1pm the next day and this time my water broke at 10:20pm and baby was born at 6am. I arrived at the hospital and was at 0cm dialated at 1am only to have reached 9cm dialated at my next cervical check at 5am and went straight into delivery🍼

During both my labour my coping mechanism was Hynobirthing - I threw on my headphones and listened to @gentlebirthofficial app while labouring and I’m still completely astounded at how hynobirthing helps you manage pain especially as someone with a low pain tolerance. But also shoutout to the dates everyday, birthing teas, pelvic floor exercises, @mother_moon_herbals clarysage roller and pineapples because did I not try everything😅 And also shoutout to the best birthing partner, my man aka my doula, for the best counter pressure massages in labour❤️

But nothing compares for the high when you finally meet your baby after everything🤍🍼

Apparently Ashton thinks he’s in charge of setting up for the new baby 😂

Now that our Angelcare Nappy Bin is set up, we’re already putting it to the test and even getting a little help from big brother.

Having a nappy bin right is one of those practical things that makes so much sense once you have a baby. No carrying dirty nappies through the house, no having to constantly run to the main bin, and the Angelcare system is designed to help contain those unwanted smells.

I also love the one-handed opening because when you’re holding a newborn in one arm and changing them with the other, anything that makes life easier is a win.

Nest with me as we get ready for baby’s arrival 🤍

Some baby essentials are exciting, and some are just the things you know you’re going to be very grateful for at 2am.

After having Ashton, I already know just how many nappies newborn life comes with, so having a dedicated nappy bin in the nursery is definitely on my list this time around again.
