“I’m not very good with words… Lord, please! Send anyone else.” But God didn’t. He said to Moses, “I will be with you as you speak.” (Exodus 4:10–13 NLT) He even sent Aaron to be a strength for Moses’ weakness.

Most of us are like Moses. When God calls, we argue for why we’re not qualified, not the right person, too broken to be used by Him.

But He tells us what He told Moses. He’ll be with us through it, and He’ll even send us a helper when we need it most.

You probably know what God is calling you to. The one you can’t get out of your head but don’t feel qualified for. The one someone else could do better than you. This week, say yes anyway and follow your calling. by @lifechurchsba

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.” (Psalm 34:18–19 NASB)

If you’re hurting, if you’re feeling spiritually crushed, you’re in good company. Many of our most esteemed biblical heroes were right there with you. Elijah was in such anguish he asked God to take his life.

But pay attention to what it says in verse 19: You will face trials. We all do. But God will always be with you. He will deliver you.

So if you feel broken, if you’re in anguish, don’t push that away. Don’t shove it down. Feel it. Experience it. Let it run its course. Because even there— especially there —you can live in the joy that comes from walking with God. by @lifechurchsba

“I myself will search for my sheep… I will search for the lost and bring back the strays.” (Ezekiel 34:11, 16 NIV)

God had been telling us for a long time that He would seek out the lost and bring them back. Jesus wasn’t inventing something new, He was fulfilling what Ezekiel said centuries earlier. Because that’s God’s heart. That’s who He is.
