Some dreams stay in your head…while others demand to be built. What started as a “what if” back in November 2024 turned into a year long relentless pursuit to create the modern day Z4 Coupe that BMW never produced using an A90 Supra chassis. Not alone, but alongside my two closest friends @j_wong116 and @ruthless.spec who saw the same vision…and refused to let it stay a dream. Many late nights led to bold ideas, but with a lot of uncertainty. With belief in the end goal, piece by piece, vision became real…imagination became reality. This month, that journey finds its way onto the cover of @the_bimmerlife, the official @bmwcca magazine (spring / summer 2026 issue). A moment that doesn’t just celebrate a car, but the courage to chase something that’s never been done before with the creative brilliance of @xaviercuevas_autodesigner - Having an amazing group of collaborators involved in the project, built on trust and passion, we didn’t follow a blueprint, we created one. This is more than a build. It’s proof that the craziest ideas over late night drinks in Vegas are often the ones worth betting everything on - Dream BIG without limits. Build without fear, because the impossible only exists…until you make it real. 🚙✨

@goldenwrench has become a staple among the BMW community, and now it is keen to make a similar statement in the JDM world.

Technically, Mario Chan’s (@lifein8bites) GR Corolla debuted at SEMA last year, and part of its transformation involved sending the car to @csf_radiators for intercooler development. Shortly after that process began, CSF seized an opportunity to team up with Jackson Racing to offer the most advanced and efficient intercooler on the market.

Pulling off the perfect JDM Euro build means getting one of the biggest names in the wheel business involved: @bbs.wheels. Chan was brave enough to break the mold on the GRC and recognized that the LM-R’s curvy, multi-spoke design worked well with the Corolla’s flowing body lines.

One polarizing trend continues with JDM-bred enthusiast cars: triple exhaust tips.
@mbrpexhaust has been extremely accommodating to GRC owners’ tastes by offering reasonably priced dual rear exit and center exit options. Sound being equal, the latter appears to weigh less than the dual rear exit version, so I was glad to see Chan chose the “Porsche GT-esque” option.
