Who else can relate?

You get home and suddenly have to start thinking about meal planning for the week ahead and lunch boxes for work 🥴🥴

We had a lovely week away, since we have been home it has been all go, we had Jesse Friday night and Saturday and Steve’s dad on Saturday too.

Today has been really lovely catching up at home and getting everything ready for the week ahead. Of course the weekend wouldn’t have been complete without another trip to the tip 🤣😂🙈

The curtains though 🥴🥴🥴
Let’s just say they were one of the first things to come down 👏👏

We don’t actually use this bathroom currently as we are certain that the bath is leaking and hope to be ripping it out soon.
The plans are back from our architect so the next stage is planning.

There seems to be this idea that once you reach 50, the exciting part of life is behind you.

That you should settle down, play it safe and simply be grateful for what you’ve already had.

But I don’t feel finished. Not even close.

If anything, I know myself better now. I care less about what other people think, I’m more willing to make changes, and I’m finally asking myself what I want the next chapter to look like.

You can change your home.
Change your career.
Build another income.
Travel more.
Start something new.
Or simply decide you want life to feel different.

You haven’t missed your chance.

Life after 50 isn’t the ending. It could be the first chapter you’ve actually chosen for yourself. 🤍

How many of you have had this conversation lately? 🤔

Steve and I were saying last week that we earn good money, but it just doesn’t seem to go as far anymore. And we’re looking at each other thinking… how on earth did that happen?! 🥴

Then we said, how are people on a fixed wage making it stretch? Just the food shop and fuel costs alone are absolutely mad 😳

We feel really lucky as we both have good businesses that we have built over many years, giving us more flexibility to earn more if we need to. But not everyone has that.

That’s part of why I started helping other people earn an additional income too, wanting more flexibility in your finances is possible for anyone if you have the mentality to want more from life ❤️

When I am here sitting on my sunbed in 30 degrees all I can think about is when we get home and begin bringing our living room in to 2026 😂🤣
Now don’t get me wrong I love our bungalow however the decor is just not me at all, the patterned carpets and the strange wallpaper and artex ceilings need to go 🥴🥴

When we see our two bedrooms done in our style it makes us want to do the next room 😉

Anyway I am off to chill on the sunbed and dream about how I want my bungalow to look ❤️

Friday hits differently when you are abroad and you can still work and earn money from your sunbed 👏
Time off from your 9-5 but still able to work from anywhere 💴

Jesse has the best room in the house currently but I wouldn’t have it any other way.❤️
As a grandparent that has your grandchild to stay it is so important that they feel at home, I am always saying to him - it is your home too mate 🥹🥹

⭐️⭐️GUEST BEDROOM REVEAL ⭐️⭐️

Finally the carpets have been laid and we have two yes two bedrooms finished ☑️

Both rooms have been re-plastered, new skirting boards, new architraves and new carpets - No 80s decor in these rooms!

Jesse’s bedroom to be revealed tomorrow 👌

We think this bathroom last saw a makeover somewhere around 1989—and honestly, they committed to the turquoise!
