— And to think I actually only found this rock by accident, when the battery on my boat died and the current kept pushing me out even further into the Baltic Sea. No VHF radio to call for help, and no cell phone either. But you know what? I wasn’t scared. For better or worse, I had found ”my rock,” which became my favorite place in the Stockholm Archipelago. Later that day, a group of Swedish fishermen rescued me and got me to a place where the current wasn’t so strong and I could easily row back to my beloved sommarstuga. But man, I must have rowed for, like, 5 hours that evening. LOL. The sun never set, though (it was summer in Sweden, after all), and I counted 22 swans out on the water. Now I just like to like to come back to “my beloved little rock,” climb up to the top, and just chill and lounge up there until dusk. — Hoy, más que nunca, levanto la bandera de mi amada Venezuela con todo mi orgullo. Sigo trabajando en barcos por todo Nueva York y Estocolmo, pero eventualmente tendré mi propio velero, y lo llamaré “Daydream Belever” (traducido a español como
“Creyente de Ensueño”, o “Sonador Despierto”). Navegaré y ofreceré “charters” por toda Lechería, Puerto La Cruz, El Parque Nacional Mochima, La Tortuga, e incluso hasta en Los Roques y la Isla de Margarita. Contribuiré, con todo mi conocimiento—y toda la experiencia que he adquirido durante tantos años en el exterior—al renacer y al crecimiento de Venezuela… no solo en mi área náutica, sino también como buen ciudadano y como buen ser humano. Recuerden mis palabras, miren que cuando a mí se me mete algo en la cabeza, no paro hasta conseguirlo.

🇸🇪 MIDSOMMAR, a.k.a. my favorite holiday. A genuine celebration of the longest day of the year. Eating potatoes, pickled herring, shrimp, meatballs, and… of course, strawberry cake (made by yours truly), singing and drinking Swedish schnapps and spirits while dancing around the maypole; pretending to be a little frog. All while embracing nature, fertility, the sun that never sets (at least in Northern Sweden), and… if you’re still single; and a true romantic like myself, you get to hold on to the hope that maybe, just maybe, if you collect 7 different wildflowers and put them under your pillow, you’ll dream of your soulmate. 🇸🇪🌾🌱☀️🌸🌺🌻🌷🌼 - - #LifeOfLeo #Midsommar #Sverige #Svensk by @lifeofleo
