The universe is hilarious, and never have I ever seen hearts and butterflies (or infinity symbols) in the sky until yesterday, 10/10.

We often think of a “legacy” as something left behind when we’re gone—statues, titles, wealth, or big milestones.

Maya Angelou offered a much gentler, truer perspective: “Your legacy is every life you touch.” And how do we actually touch a life? She answered that, too:

Look up tonight—the harvest moon is putting on a show. 🌕

From trekking El Mirador in Guatemala to night walks around Pacific Grove, Auburn, and Sac, full moons have always marked key chapters for me. Tonight brings an energetic reset with a trail hike through El Dorado County, another corner of California I used to call home. (We’re stoked!)

The universe is hilarious and doesn’t always whisper—sometimes it sends a whole beaver to sit right in front of you. 🦫✨
Still thinking about this quiet moment from a walk with my mom yesterday. We turned a corner and stumbled upon this little architect casually grooming on the bank in broad daylight, completely calm and tending to itself right by the water. For an animal that’s usually shy and nocturnal, finding it right here—in the place I now call home—felt like pure serendipity and synchronicity.

Beavers are ancient symbols of family, resourcefulness, and putting down deep, lasting roots. Sharing that sight with my mom felt like the sweetest little housewarming blessing from nature.
