I have moved on physically, but alpine living is seeping into my blood. I love the simplicity of design. Nothing is trying too hard. Nothing is overdone. Design is based off of the way of living. Before I start running around the globe, a few moments that mattered deeply this season. Losing the matriarch of our family, my grandmother Evelyn. We called her Babba. I hope I can carry even a fraction of her warmth, understanding and kindness. She will forever be missed. So the laughter matters more now. The family moments, friendship, and creating a life that makes me feel proud and grounded. I want to be here now - because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. I keep a folder in my iPhone called “recent outfits”. This way, when I’m in a rush, a panic, or have nothing to wear- I look back at the last few times I liked my outfit or felt good in something. It’s worth outfit repeating when you feel good in it, because clothes are meant to be worn more than once. In fact, they are meant to be enjoyed over and over again. The weather is all over the place but NY is certainly flirting with Spring. I lived in my loafers (paid the price in blisters) I have been shopping my closet. Recently, I do these challenges where I have to come up with new outfit combos that I’ve never worn, using only what I have. All staples can be dressed up, or switched up using layers, textures, a pop of color/ gold accents or a scarf!
