Hey friends - Logan Elliott here from Flammable Entrepreneur! If you don't know me, I am a creative Business Coach based in the US. I help Illustrators, Graphic Designers, Muralists and Photographers to grow their dream business.

A few fun facts:
🥝 I am originally from New Zealand (aka a Kiwi - not the fruit!)
🔥 I ran my own creative business for 11 years (so many learnings and adventures!)
🤓 I have a Master's in Entrepreneurship (yes it is hard to say and spell haha!)

We get this question a TON! 🙋‍♀️

The answer is a little complicated… here’s why: 🔥

Q: Will print sales provide consistent monthly passive income?
A: No, this is almost never the case. It is SO hard to build a big enough audience to get small print sales to add up your actual, sustainable income. It’s almost always “I make about $17 dollars a year.. but if I focused on it maybe…”

Q: Can having print-on-demand prints for sale on my website or at markets occasionally provide some supplemental income for my business?
A: Yes, but we have to be real about the amount this will actually, realistically be. If it might be a few hundred bucks a month you need to consider if it’s worth it and only put in the relative effort towards it.

So what’s the answer? It’s your business and you need to operate it the way that you want but also in a way that it can last! If you want a sustainable business for years to come, you need to focus your energy on higher ticket offerings, not on doing volume on small things. 👍 by @lifetimecreativeprogram

Hustle burns you out. Systems compound over time.

What do a lot of creatives absolutely hate? Cold outreach. 😠

But what proves to work time and time again? Cold outreach. 😅

It’s easy to try doing cold outreach and determine pretty quickly that it doesn’t work. We are great at taking a small sample size and expanding it to give us an out on something we don’t want to do. 🙂‍↕️

But what we see inside the industry is that cold outreach still works, if done correctly and consistently. You need to research your ideal clients, do consistent outreach to them, and be sure to follow up! (Tons of people forget to do this and miss out on tons of business!) 🙌
