🍂Although it does feel like summer is lingering just a little too long, sharing some of my favourite cosy UK family hotels perfect for autumn/winter season.

🌷These luxury family friendly hotels are great for a last minute stay during the upcoming half term break or just throughout cosy season!

🌿I’ve also given a petit summary of each so you know what vibe to expect :) ✨ by @lifewithbugo

🌷Getting right into it. I’ve rated the 25 countries my 4 year old has been to. How Family friendly was each one? Sentimental? Stunning? What we did there? For part 1, Swipe along for the first 12 trips!

🌿Putting this together gave me so much joy and it was so beautiful to see how much she’d grown up as the months went by. As a travel family, I love (& I’m super grateful) that we’re able to give her these experiences I now know exactly which places we have to go back to.

🌸 I’m sure you’ve already established that I love a pretty hotel that’s also very functional and perfect for the whole family. IMO, "family friendly" should not take away from being aesthetically pretty and well designed for luxury hotels especially.

🌷Estelle Manor was my dream stay for the longest time until my sweet husband surprised me with a 2-night stay. It was such a treat bcs it was during my 1st trimester when I was struggling so much. I can confirm that the struggle flew out of my body once we approached the gates 😂

🍂We visited in autumn and it was quiet, weather was crisp and the whole experience was beautiful.

This one is for the parents who want more for their travels. Those who have a 9-5 but still want to see the world. Not all of us can be nomads and many of us have to travel with limited time off from work (& school) so these are easy options for that.

🌷Singapore and Bali are another 2 for 1 combo but we didn’t do this with kids. I still plan to take them to both destinations one day!

The goal is to give my children a childhood full of magical, whimsical moments. Norfolk gave us all these and more. I might be speaking too soon but looks like we’ve found the place where we’ll spend summers for years to come.

🌺 We stayed in a traditional 2 bedroom carpenter’s cottage in Holt for 4 days that I booked on @airbnb

where we visited, what we did & where we ate:
🌷Holt - breakfast at The Cozy Café & Bistro, dinner at Holt fish & chips.
🦀 Wells - Wells Harbour (pizza from Flour, Fish & Chips from French’s fish & chips, ice cream from the John Rock shop), beach day at Wells Next the Sea
🏖️Holkham beach

PS if there are any other cute, quintessentially English coastal towns you recommend, let me know :) taken in Norfolk, England by @lifewithbugo

It will never not be wild to me that my 4 year old explorer has been to all these destinations. 4 continents, 25 countries, countless cities & 58 flights 👏🏾🌸

🌿 Don’t let anyone tell you that travel will stop when you have kids. In our case, we’ve actually travelled more since we had her!

The next few years will be a lot of repeat destinations which I’m really excited about. It’ll be lovely to take Olanne to the places we enjoyed with Adanna and make new memories with both of them 💕

🌺 In the mean time, I’m working on mini reviews of all 25 countries and will share once I’m done :) TGIF my lovelies x by @lifewithbugo

🌷One of the best advices I ever received about enjoying motherhood was to bring them into your already existing life instead of changing your whole life for them. And that’s exactly what we did/do.

🌿 I like beautiful country gardens, historic properties/ruins, film locations, basically romanticising nature? There you’ll find me! I like to think that Adanna now loves the same things and we’re managing to adapt our children to our existing lifestyle.

🌸 Don’t get me wrong, she loves a soft play like most children and once in a while, she might visit one but I’m just not a soft play mum. So we compromise with outdoor play areas and thankfully, National Trust properties have them in abundance.

🎨 These days, I’m trying to get into museums as well because Adanna seems to be fascinated by Art 👀 I’m also *trying* to enjoy farms even though animals scare me 😅 so watch this space!

🌸 We’re slowly moving from summer to autumn & a new school year but I’ll look back on summer 2026 as one of the best summers of my life.

🌺 The one where my family went from 3 to 4. The one where we stayed home. The one where we enjoyed all that England has to offer: its gorgeous countryside, coastal towns and historic cities ❤️

I may have complained too much about the heatwave 😅 but for sure, this has been a summer to remember 🌿🌷 by @lifewithbugo

🌷This is my year of gratitude. The one where I’ve paused and I’m in the era of appreciating every single second. A lot of beginnings and a lot that won’t happen again so I’m savouring everything and every moment.

🌸 I’m most especially thankful for my daughters and the beautiful love we have at home.

Making use of our @nationaltrust membership for a super lovely family day out to Wimpole NT 🌿

🌷Highlights were seeing the farm animals, ice cream, a mini picnic, lots of green space to run around, the outdoor play ground & the main house to explore in all its historic greatness.

🌸 I genuinely think that a national trust membership is a great investment for families. If your child is like mine who loves the outdoors and activities, it’s the best value for money membership!

🏖️ Whitstable is another cute (& easy) family day out from London with kids. I love a quintessential British coastal town and Kent has some really cute ones.

🌺 Driving? Park at Keam’s Yard car park (CT5 1EP) which sits directly across the beach. Victoria street car park (CT5 1JB) is off the main high street and a 2 mins walk to the famous Wheelers Oyster Bar 🦪 Both are perfect for Whitstable Beach.

🌸 Train from London to Whitstable? Get the train from St Pancras (1hr 15m) or Victoria (1hr 33m) to Whistable station and walk about 10 mins to the high street! taken in Whitstable by @lifewithbugo
