I had to spin this trend on its head cos it’s moments like this that affirm every hurdle I had to go though had a purpose. As I spoke to the young girls in St Catherine’s school today, one of my former secondary schools, talking about how they can practically achieve their goals even with unpredictable challenges (mine came in the form of sickle cell), gain confidence even when asking for help, get through low moments in education (like I did during my repeat year) and build a well balanced life they enjoy outside of their career, I honestly felt like God was preparing me for this moment every step of the way.

The medic in me just had to give them an acronym for their take home message (🌚) & even though I wasn’t expecting too much engagement from the year 10s it was amazing seeing their enthusiasm to apply what we covered into their education straight away!
