Proper British grub right in the heart of town! 🇬🇧✨ I stopped by Aboveground to meet Chef Nicholas and try out some classic comfort food. From the perfectly crispy, golden fish and chips topped with a UK flag to a sweet Nestlé Lion bar finish, this spot is the real deal! The concept is led by Chef Nicholas Martino. His passion for British cooking was refined while working alongside British celebrity chef Marco Pierre White. If you’re craving authentic pies, fish & chips, and great vibes, you know where to go! 🐟 Go check out @aboveground_dc 📍Located inside Union Market (1309 5th Street NE, Washington, DC), a bustling destination for food lovers in the capital. #unionmarket #dmvfoodies #dcfoodie #dcspot #abovegrounddc by @lifewithkails

🌱✨ @jungleandloom just added a brand new photobooth, and it’s only $8 for black & white or color strips! 📸 Beyond the photobooth, this plant shop is an absolute dream—they have everything from lush plants and stationery to vintage home pieces, gorgeous fragrances, cookbooks, and so much more. Definitely add this to your list to stop by and shop! 🪴💛. I've shopped here before to get my prints and vintage picture frames. They have a great collection of stuff. 📍 Jungle & Loom, Union Market 1309 5th Street NE, Washington, DC 20002 #unionmarketdistrict #jungleandloom #dcspot #photobooth #noma by @lifewithkails
I tried @eggyakidc inside Union Market, and this Japanese-inspired savory omelet is an absolute game-changer. Fluffy, packed with flavor, and topped to perfection—needless to say, it passed the vibe check with flying colors! 🙌✨ The stall was created by Chef Nicholas Martino (who also owns the British concept ABOVEGROUND in the same market). While living and cooking in Singapore, Chef Martino fell in love with okonomiyaki—the savory, crispy-edged Japanese cabbage pancake. Have you tried this yet? Let me know in the comments 👇 📍 Egg Yaki, Union Market, D.C. | 1309 5th St NE #unionmarket #dmvfoodies #dcfoodie #dcspot #eggyakidc by @lifewithkails

My younger self is screaming of the amazing opportunity to go sit at a fashion show for FREE and experience this in Washington DC/MD! Not NYC but my city. Thank you for @collectionchevychase for hosting this and showing some of @sarehnouri pieces including brooks brothers. From beginning to the end: the layout, the details and how everything was organized, was fantastic. I applaud everyone who took the time to put this together. I appreciate you. Thank you for your hospitality and making this fashion event a wonderful experience. 🥂 #dcfashion #sarahnouri #thecollectivecouture #fallfashion #chevychasedc by @lifewithkails
