Did someone say VOLUME?? 👩🏾‍🦱🪮

(This week I learned that Sept 15th is World Afro Day! While I typically wear a defined afro, I wanted to style my hair as big as possible to celebrate the versatility of curly hair. Can you tell I had fun with this!? ☺️🥰)

💞 Doniven Appreciation Post 🎉🥳

It may be the end of his glow day, but we appreciate Don all year round! 17 years old and still the coolest person in any room!! I'm so grateful to have had the privilege of watching you grow up into the kind, intelligent, and amazing young man that you are today. I know 17 will be overflowing with blessings 🙌🏾

I love you past the moon and back. Cheers to pushing 18 😭😂 @donivenjonesart

💠 lemme show off ma fit ☄️

(This came out better than my vision! I wanted my next audition outfit to be unique, fun, and extra sparkly. The original plan was to buy a black set online and rhinestone it. I did that, but I could not find bottoms with a mesh side panel anywhere!! So I had to break out my sewing skills and get to work lol. I'm so glad I did. I enjoy taking the time to create something special, from my travel itineraries, to my rave fits, and now my audition fits. I did not make the team but I made it to round 3 which is a huge accomplishment for me! And most importantly I reached my goal... to be proud of myself ☺️ To anyone else who has heard no recently, I hope you continue to do what you love and enjoy the journey on the way to your YES 💖)

✯ Me vs. Me, and I already won ✯

(I cannot get enough of this outfit! It is so me. NFL auditions did not go as I had hoped, but they revealed a part of me that I didn't know existed. Let's get into a mini storytime:

In 2021, the Lord placed the desire to move to Houston on my heart. I had never been to Texas and knew no one in Houston, yet I could not shake the feeling that this city would one day be home. Fast forward to today and I see why. God remembered the prayers of His little girl 🥺

I let go of my dream to be a professional dancer after college bc I thought my time was up. Why did I think I was "too old" to make it at 19 😭 Though flag was never really my passion, colorguard was my world at the time. I loved performing in football stadiums with my dearest friends and bandmates. The crazy thing is, it never even occurred to me that dancing for a pro sports team was an option. One year into pro training and I've got that feeling again!

I don't know what the future holds, but I am certain that it is more beautiful than I could ever imagine. God has shown me time and time again that He is with me and will never leave me. I am forever grateful to the Lord for renewing this part of my life.

Shout out to everyone chasing their dreams. It came to you for a reason 🩵 I love y'all! )

~ how deep is your love? ~

(To my surprise, I absolutely loved Rome! The trees in particular left me in awe just as much as the architecture. Ik we only saw the tourist areas, but I look forward to coming back to stay for longer. Once I got home, I realized this was my 2nd "Wonder of the World!" The first wonder I saw was the Pyramids of Giza a few years ago. I went solo and wished I could share that moment with my family. Now, we have hundreds of travel memories to share together. Cheers to more travels with the ones you love ❣️) #rome #colosseum #ancientrome #familytravels #wondersoftheworld taken in Colosseo, Roma by @lifewithnadiya
