Just casually ran into a Chicago celebrity at the Hot Chocolate Run… 👀🎤😂 @hotchocolaterunseries

Of course, I had to get an EXCLUSIVE finish-line interview! 🤣

All jokes aside, this busy mama just finished her FIRST 15K!! 🏃‍♀️🍫 So proud of you, Laura! ❤️

10/10 running performance. 0/10 professional interview skills. 😂🎤

My first coffee bean swap experience in Chicago! ☕️❤️

When I first started learning about coffee, I learned most of the basics online. Later, I took a few hands-on classes in Romania covering espresso, latte art, and alternative brewing methods, and that’s when I really started improving my barista skills.

One thing I’ve learned is that getting better at coffee is all about practicing, experimenting, and learning from others.

That’s why I love discovering events like the free bean swap at Sip Society @sipsociety.coffee , where you can exchange beans, taste different coffees, and meet people who share the same passion.

If you’re in Chicago and want to get more into coffee, this might be something worth trying. Maybe I’ll see you at the next bean swap! ☕️

A little love letter to Chicago, from the river. 🍂

I used to dream of studying architecture and becoming an architect, so experiencing Chicago from this perspective felt extra special.

My husband and I went on the Chicago Architecture Center River Cruise aboard First Lady on the most beautiful sunny autumn day, and I genuinely couldn’t stop looking up.

The buildings, the bridges, the stories behind them… everything was so beautiful. And I learned so much! Did you know Chicago actually reversed the direction of its river in 1900 to help protect its drinking water? 🤯

If you’re thinking of going, here are a few things I’d tell a friend:

☀️ Bring sunglasses or a cap. You’ll spend a lot of time looking up at the buildings, and the sun can get in your eyes.

🧥 Check the weather. The upper deck is outdoors, so bring an extra layer, especially during autumn.

🎟️ Arrive early! We bought our tickets right there, but I’d recommend booking ahead. Arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. Seating is not assigned, so getting there early gives you a better chance of choosing your favorite spot.

🌊 Worried about motion sickness? We were too! But the river was so calm and the boat felt so stable that neither of us experienced any motion sickness.

🏙️ The experience: A 90-minute cruise with a Chicago Architecture Center volunteer guide sharing fascinating stories about the city’s architecture.

📍 Where: First Lady Cruises, 112 E. Wacker Drive, Chicago.

And if you love photography, bring your camera. I took my @fujifilmx_us x100v, and these are some of my favorite photos from that afternoon. 📸

I would do this again in a heartbeat. And with how beautiful autumn has been in Chicago this year, I really wouldn’t miss the chance.

Save this for your next Chicago day, or send it to someone you’d love to experience it with. 🍁

Not the first time I am consulting friends what would be the best espresso setup for their lifestyle and budget.

I should ask brands about referral codes at this point 🤣 by @lifewithroxi

Chicago’s best hidden lunch spot 🌿

Lurie Garden is tucked between Maggie Daley Park and the Art Institute. Think tall green walls, quiet benches, and views of the skyline, all right in the middle of downtown.

Right now the whole garden is turning gold for fall 🍂 Just check the hours before you go, because it’s not always open.

Save this for your next lunch break 📍

Send this to your better half! ❤️❤️

Random fact: there are big 20ft waves coming on Lake Michigan today, and it reminded me of the first surf day in Hawaii 🌊🏄‍♀️

Unfortunately I’m not experienced enough to ride crazy waves but it’s such a cool sport!
It forces you relax your mind to be able to catch waves and actually ride them. 😌 by @lifewithroxi

You’re a coffee person, so you understand. ☕️🤣

Send this to your coffee buddy 😏
