When I first tried Lagree, it was actually my friend who convinced me to try it.

And honestly, I thought, “Okay, I’m sporty. I can handle this.”💪🏻

Girl… I was humbled REAL quick. 😭

Two minutes in, I was already questioning my life choices and almost crying. 😂 The amount of core work, the shaking, the burn… everything looked so small and controlled, but it was SO HARD.

And it was a 6 AM class, too. 😭

I remember thinking, “Bakit ang sakit nito?!”

But somehow, I kept coming back.

What started as my friend convincing me to try one class, turned into something I genuinely fell in love with and eventually, becoming a @ultralagree.ph instructor myself. 🥹

I wasn’t good at it when I started. I struggled, I shook, I almost cried… but I kept showing up.

Now I’m on the other side of the Megaformer, watching people go through the same “WHY IS THIS SO HARD?!” moment I had on my first class. 😂

I guess I’m living proof that you don’t have to be good at something to start. Sometimes, you just have to be brave enough to be a beginner. 💖

I used to think the best riders were the ones who never fell.

I guess that’s why I was so terrified of falling when I had my first riding lesson as a little girl.

Looking back, I always loved being on a horse, but I was always careful. I went through years of riding without ever actually falling.🐴

Then I had to stop riding.

During the pandemic, I found my way back to it, and this time, I fell in love with it in a completely different way.

We mostly went on trail rides, and I loved that there was nothing to prove. You could leave the makeup, the perfect hair, the busy life and everything else behind. You could be soaking wet, covered in dirt, completely unprepared and none of it mattered.

Because for those moments, it was just you, the horse and nature.🌿

A horse beneath you, nature all around you, and your mind finally free to wander.✨

And then, on my first trail ride alone through the open fields, I finally fell off.

The funny thing is, the thing I had been afraid of for so many years finally happened… and yes, I got a few scratches and bruises, but I was okay. 🏇

So I got back up, got back on, and kept going.

It taught me that courage isn’t about never being afraid. Sometimes, courage is falling, feeling scared, and choosing to get back on anyway.🐎

And maybe that applies to so much more than horseback riding. 💖

Because life isn’t really about never falling. We’re going to fall, sometimes literally, sometimes in ways that hurt a lot more.

What matters is what we do after.

We get back up. We keep going. And sometimes, we realize that the fall we were so afraid of was never the end of the story. ❤️
