Hello, everyone! Sorry for not posting anything on Instagram in a very long time. Despite my recent artistic rut, which I'm slowly getting out of, I have been busy lettering comics to a number of great indie creators. This post is intended to remind the IG world that I have openings to letter your indie comic in the coming months AND I'm also willing to take on new lettering assignments throughout the year whether they involve a pitch, a short story, a crowdfunding campaign, or a regular-sized comic. Check out some of my samples at lightamatch.com/lettering. Hit me up via DM or at rick@lightamatch.com. Thanks. -- Rick

While I was at @ottawacomicsfestival I was lucky enough to nab an interview with Rick Joseph, a local letterer. Really great person to talk to... pay attention to this space, I'll be posting when the interview is live on our patreon page (link in my bio.) #ottawacomicsartsfestival taken in Glebe Community Hall by @lightamatch

Huge shoutout and congratulations to the organizers and volunteers behind Ottawa's very first OCAF held today (April 4th) at the Glebe Community Centre. Hats off to you for making this event successful. You absolutely nailed it. The turnout was amazing and the community really showed up to support indie comics and local creators. You could feel the love throughout the day.

This only being my second time tabling at a con, I was honestly blown away. The response to my artwork, my client's work and especially towards my lettering (and lettering in general) meant a lot. I even had a few people come by who knew lettering and wanted to learn more!!! That made my day.

Overall, tremendous success. I'm already looking forward to next year and future shows. Thank you, OCAF Team. by @lightamatch

Look who made his own flyer! Anyway, quick reminder! This Saturday, April 4, I’ll be at the @ottawacomicsfestival from 10AM–3PM alongside other local comic creators. I'll have the following comics with me and some goodies:

• The Memory Machine
• Bad Natures TPB
• Bloom
• Ape Fights #1 and #2
• Barren #0, 1 and 2 (set)
• Bag A Tales

If I had my way, I’d have at least five more tiles available for sale...Oh well, maybe next time. taken in Ottawa, Ontario by @lightamatch

Wassup IG peeps! FYI, I'll be tabling at the new Ottawa Comic Arts Festival (OCAF) on Saturday, April 4th at the Glebe Community Centre in Ottawa. It's shaping up to be a fun lol gathering for Indie comic fans.

I’ll have copies of comics I’ve lettered on available, including Memory Machine, Bloom, Ape Fights, Barren, and hopefully a few more! I’ll also be bringing my mini sketchbooks, stickers and posters too. If you’re around, swing by and say hi!
